I was just going to bed, settling down with a wonderful horror book by Dean Koontz, when I felt compelled to go to my computer and put down a few thoughts. I work for a Catholic hospital and naturally get a fair amount of religiously oriented emails but during the Christmas holidays (and Easter, as well) I am deluged with the "put the Christ back into Christmas" type emails as well as maudlin and syrupy Christmas miracle tales. Don't get me wrong—I love Christmas trappings, having been denied them as a child because of my WWCOG upbringing—the beautiful trees, dripping with red and gold ornaments, strings of red and gold beads, candy canes, crystals and colored lights. I love seeing the lively displays of houses around town as I drive home from work. I love the festive atmosphere at work, everyone on their best behavior and trying to be as magnanimous as possible. But these people who are trying to put the Christ back into Christmas are a burr in the saddle. I wonder what they mean by this bromide. I wonder if they know that Christ was never in Christmas.
The Christmas we celebrate is wholly pagan and wholly wonderful. Do they suppose Santa was at the Bethlehem stable? These same people who are trying to get Christ back into Christmas believe in the whole Santa Claus thing. Santa Claus has been proven to my satisfaction to be a personification of the Siberian mushroom cult. Roman Catholicism tried, pathetically, to explain St. Nicholas away by saying he was a nobleman who donated money to poor people by putting gold down people's chimneys. The facts don't prove that theory. In fact, it seems Nicholas was STEALING money, rather than donating it. Let's try to find the origin of the Santa myth.
The shamans of the native Siberian peoples dress up in red and white clothing and go down people's chimneys, depositing magical mushrooms. The mushrooms in question are the amanita muscaria variety which are reddish colored with white spots—the mushrooms which are often depicted in children's fairy tales and on myriad Christmas cards of the 19th century. Santa, dressed in red and white, is often depicted standing on one leg before the chimney top, and this refers to the anatomy of the mushroom (red and white with one leg [the stalk]). Many may poo-poo this interpretation saying 'how can we equate Santa Claus with remote Siberia' but I would counter this with the knowledge that much of our modern Christmas lore and custom comes from Russia. In addition to Santa Claus, we have the reindeer, which are native to northern Europe. Curiously, the reindeer are very fond of the amanita muscaria mushrooms and while we cannot confirm how they react to them, human reactions include feelings of flight. So it is a natural step to assume that the reindeer feel like they're flying after eating the mushrooms.
Is there any reference to Jesus Christ's birthdate in the 'bible'? Flatly, no. Biblical scholars point to Autumn as the probable season of the birth of Jesus, but there is no proof. There is no proof, of course, to Jesus' existance at all. However, if you are one of those people who insist on believing in Jesus as a matter of course, evidence be damned, I have no objection, but at least understand that the bible nowhere states that Jesus' birth should be celebrated. The only event of this person's life to be commemorated was his death.
Please understand that if you celebrate Christmas as Jesus Christ's birth, you are actually celebrating the birth of the Sun. On December 21 the sun is at it's lowest strength on earth. This is known as the Winter Solstice. In a few days, it is noticed that the sun is coming back, lingering longer, and the ancients celebrated this time most mightely because it confirmed that life would come again to the planet. Your Christmas celebration is a confirmation of life which dates back millenia—as long as humans have lived on this planet, and it has nothing to do with the Jesus Christ story of the bible. Imagine that.
The Catholic church, spearheaded by Paul of Tarsus, amagamated several different myths of the Jews into a concoction sold as Christianity. They used the mystical and even *rebelious* nature of their faux christianity to draw in subordinate groups and this technique has worked up to present times. Witness the ready acceptance of Indian groups in North America to accept Roman Catholicism. The religion fits well with their own sun god worship.
So lift your glass of mulled wine, heavy on the cinnamon, light on cloves, to the god of the sun. Enjoy the pretty colored lights and contribute your own. The Sun is the most influential god we know and we would do well to be on it's good side. Merry Solstice to you and a very Cool Yule!

Jesus Is Still The Reason For The Season!
Did you hear about the Baptist church pastor in Waco, Texas who was electrocuted while performing a baptism at his church? It seems that on the morning of October 31 Pastor Kyle Dudley had just entered a pool of water when he reached over for his microphone, which was plugged into an electric outlet. About eight hundred people saw Jesus call the good pastor home. (Fortunately, the woman who was scheduled to be dunked, had yet to enter the pool.)
When I read this news item I was reminded of the tornado that struck the Gosen, Alabama United Methodist Church at 11:30 a.m. on Palm Sunday, March, 1994. It was timed just right to find the church at its fullest. Twenty-one members were dead in the wreckage, including eight children, and eighty-three injured. The news story of the time related that "Jack Blair lost his 54-year-old wife Ethelene. They only live about a mile north of the church. He was there 10 minutes after the twister hit. He saw the demolished building. Then he saw his wife. 'We asked why. But it's not for us to answer, I don't believe,' he said, fighting off tears. 'I saw her there before they took her away.' He touched her wrist as she lay on the front lawn. 'I was feeling for life,' he said. But her wrist was cold. Jan Pike volunteered throughout the day to care for the injured at Piedmont's Southside Elementary school. She was smeared with blood. She remembers trying to save Kirk Scroggin. His neck was broken and rescuers couldn't get him the oxygen he needed. 'His little girl was tugging on my shirt saying, 'Please save my daddy. Please save my daddy. Please save my daddy,' Ms. Pike said. Ms. Pike held the girl behind her back with one hand while she covered her father up with the other. 'I'm not going to sleep for a while,' she said."
Let me come closer to home by touching on a March 12, 2005 church shooting in Brookfield, Wisconsin. A man named Terry Ratzmann walked into a satellite meeting of Roderick C. Meredith's Living Church of God and shot the pastor dead, his teenage son, and six others. I say that it is closer to home because the scene of blood and murder involved a church and man well known to me.
Not only have I met Meredith on countless occasions, but I have a sister who works at his "world headquarters" in Charlotte, North Carolina. After hearing about the murders, my first thought was that the murderer could have well made his way to Charlotte and opened fire during one of Meredith's sermons, and that my sister could have been among the dead. In fact, reflecting on how many nuts I had met during my forty-plus years inside Armstrongism, I have often wondered why such a tragedy had not occurred before and on more than one occasion. With this in mind, let me give you some background on Roderick C. Meredith, Presiding Evangelist of the Living Church of God, who is proclaimed as God's anointed leader of his only true end-time church on earth!
My association with Roderick C. Meredith begins some four decades ago when he was heading the church's ministry under his mentor, Herbert W. Armstrong. Being a lowly church attendee at the time, and he being one of Armstrong's top evangelists out in Pasadena, California, my acquaintance with Meredith was from Worldwide Church of God publications, such as his booklet, The Plain Truth About Queer Men, or his infrequent visits to our part of the world. During those times our congregation was treated to one of Rod's three hour sermons, which were really tirades and threats how, if we sacrificed everything for the "work", we just might be able to escape the coming Great Tribulation foretold in the book of Revelation and be in the Place of Safety with him and Herbert W. Armstrong.
When I moved to Pasadena, California in the mid 1970s, circumstances often brought me into the man's presence. I frequently found myself visiting the Los Angeles church, where Meredith had been exiled as its pastor, and where I first met Linda Packer. (Why Rod had ran afoul of Armstrong is a story I will leave to others.) While attending Armstrong's Ambassador College, I frequently sat in on Rod's Epistles of Paul class, where one could always expect to hear one of Rod's well-worn tirades, such as his favorite subject about queer men. His sermons were always the same fanatical rhetoric—homosexuals, the end-time was upon us, sacrificing money for "the work" and endless comments and stories about how God had singled him out above most men on earth for his high position in God's end time work. It was during this time that Meredith's wife, Marjorie, lay dying of cancer.
Each week in Los Angeles Rod would give an update on his wife's condition, while always emphasizing that they were relying on the church doctrine of healing. Mrs. Meredith died a slow, horrible death, and I must confess, as I stood looking down on her body at the Turner & Stevens Funeral Home in Pasadena, that I did the unthinkable and wondered to myself if she would have been alive and well had she seen a doctor instead of having faith in Herbert W. Armstrong and Roderick C. Meredith.
Okay, all of that is old news. But it is relevant here because Rod Meredith continues to inflict damage on the hapless souls he and Armstrong have duped into believing their prophetic rants, and their exalted status as end-time apostles of righteousness, as eight dead people in Wisconsin proves.
The odd thing is that one day before the shootings, Lawrence Anthony and I were reviewing some old Herbert W. Armstrong letters he had found and was comparing them to a recent letter from Roderick Meredith to his church members. There was no mistaking it. Essentially Roderick C. Meredith is a facsimile of his mentor, Herbert W. Armstrong, as this excerpt from his 2/17/2005 television broadcast shows:
How YOU Can Be Spared! "The most horrifying time of death and destruction is coming within the lifetimes of most of you. Yes, I said "the" most horrifying time. This soon-coming time of national disaster will make the Holocaust perpetrated by Adolf Hitler seem small by comparison. I know that sounds astounding, but this program will give you facts and specifics." (Excerpted from Meredith's website at www.livingcog.org.)
Same old rhetoric—the end of the world is upon us and all true members of "God's Church" needed to tighten their belts and give more money to Meredith's Living Church of God. Reading his letter was like again reading Armstrong's 1979 plea for money, which struck a raw nerve in me. Back 1979 Lawrence Anthony, Linda Packer, Rick Jackson and I were among the stupid Armstrongites who tightened our belts and gave stacks of money and endless hours of free services to the church—all the while the old chief thief, Herbert W. Armstrong, was living the life of a millionaire on the tithes and offerings of his faithful sheep. We were giving from our meager earnings while Armstrong was flying about the world in his private, customized $10,000,000 GIII jet, being supplied with young geisha girls in Tokyo by his Japanese contacts, wallowing in luxury at the Hotel Ritz in Paris, eating off solid gold flatware, drinking from a solid gold tea service, sitting on museum-quality antiques and his $250,000 Persian carpets in his Pasadena mansion, while getting soused evenings on cases of Dom Perignon champagne.
Yes, come ye impoverished widows and wage-slave labors and tighten your belts for "the end-time work" of Roderick C. Meredith. Do without while all such men live the lifestyle of the idle rich.
Now let me make it plain that I was truly grieved at the news of the murdered people in Wisconsin. I used to sit in congregations just like this on "God's Sabbath" doing what these innocent people were doing—believing in the lies of the bible and the men who preach them. So please don't translate my commentary to mean that I am making light of this horror. My harsh words are reserved for Armstrong's damnable destructive doctrines and his snake-oil-salesmen who make a luxurious living from selling them to a gullible, fear-ridden audience.
Let me get to the point by noting what God's end-time apostle had to say about the shootings in Wisconsin from his website on March 13:
Regarding the Wisconsin hotel shooting which occurred during a meeting of the Living Church of God This is a terrible tragedy; we are cooperating with the authorities to find out what happened. Information is still coming in. We have deep concern and are fervently praying for the injured and for the families of the deceased.
This terse comment begs the question as to what good it is to pray for God's help as eight people were lying cold and dead? What Rod should have done was to have asked and tried to answer the really hard questions, which are now going to be asked by my associate, Lawrence L. Anthony:
Reading your comments on your website Mr. Meredith, it strikes me that something is very wrong here! The God of your bible promised protection to those that follow his word, which we read in the NIV translation of the following scriptures: Jer 39:18: "I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord." 2 Sam 22:31 "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. 32 For who is God besides the Lord And who is the Rock except our God.?"
Why did God fail your members and your church with his protection, Mr. Meredith? Now don't go over to some other part of the bible and pull out scriptures about how God tests people's faith, because God says that you are not to add or take away from his words (Deut 4:2; Rev 22:18) The only question is, Mr. Meredith, did God lie back in Jeremiah and 2 Samuel when he promised his protection to those who trust in his protection? God doesn't change; he is the same forever, as we find in Mal 3:6 and Heb 13:8. So, God's promises are as good today as when he uttered them 3,000 years ago. If he didn't lie, then what happened in Wisconsin Mr. Meredith?
The fact is Mr. Meredith, either you and your members are not God's people and don't have his protection, or God failed you and your people in his promises. If he failed, then how can you and your followers trust and believe in a bible that doesn't live up to the promises of your God? Mr. Meredith, it is time you and your members ask the really tough questions.
We at darrellwconder.com have proven that the bible is full of broken promises, lies and distortions, which you and your ministers have read and still refuse to answer. When will you be honest and admit the fact that the reason for the shooting in Wisconsin is simply that the bible proves that no all-powerful god is overseeing your church. You are preaching a fraud, Mr. Meredith—and each time you open your bible and speak, the truth is staring you in the face. If you continue this course, then all I can say to your people is forget the Great Tribulation of Revelation for you are making your own private hell on earth, as the shooting spree in Wisconsin has proven!
Editor's note: Global was formed by Rod Meredith after his revolt against Worldwide Church of God Pastor General Joseph Tkach, Sr. in 1993. Meredith conveniently left WCG and formed his church after WCG picked up the tab for a successful lawsuit against Meredith and Worldwide, which was brought because of Meredith's behavoir as a WCG minister. Meredith's tenure at WCG was often rocky, a prime example being his being dumped by Armstrong as the church's director of ministers back in the 60s because of his tyranical running of that office. The same habit brought about a revolt in his new church back in 1998, when his board of directors, which included his long-time friend and brother-in-law, evangelist Raymond McNair, fired Meredith citing numerous charges. Meredith quickly formed a rival church, which he named the Living Church of God, the implication being that all the rival Armstrong groups were dead churches.
Lawrence L. Anthony was associated with both the Global Church of God and Living Church of God, but was excommunicated after reading Darrell W. Conder's books and took the biblical challenge to prove all things by asking his minister the wrong questions. Some of those questions were: 1. Why are there two contradicting stories about the birth of Jesus Christ? 2. Why are there two different stories about the calling of his disciples? 3. Why are there two contradicting stories about the true calendar of the bible? 4. Why are there two contradicting stories about the creation?
Dr. Douglas Winnail, then one of Meredith's leading ministers, and now his number two man, promised Lawrence that the church would answer his questions. As is the custom of Armstrongism (as former Armstrong evangelist David Albert makes clear in his book, Difficult Scriptures, Lawrence and his questions were simply ignored and he was excommunicated. This isn't surprising since this same man, Doug Winnail, in response to Global's dwindling membership, publically promised members to answer the numerous questions of Darrell Conder's book, M B II, but somehow never got around to the task. By way of offering some insight into Meredith's cult church, we reproduce an all-telling letter sent out immediately following the formation of his new "Living Church of God."

Dear Brethren,
Greetings from San Diego! Thank you so much for your loyalty and encouragement. Thousands of you have responded to our call to "rescue" the Work of the Living God from four dissident Board members. Again, the vast majority of the ministry and membership see through the coup d'etat these misguided men pulled off and are backing our team of loyal ministers in doing the Work of God.
The new "team" of dedicated ministers here at Headquarters consists of Mr. Carl McNair as Director of Church Administration, Mr. Dick Ames as Director of Media and Publishing, Mr. Fred Dattolo (who is not a minister) as Business Manager and Treasurer, Mr. Don Davis as General Manager and many other dedicated men and women. Mr. Dibar Apartian will lead the French Work and Mr. Mario Hernandez the Spanish Work. Also, most of the International Directors and brethren around the world are solidly behind us.
I am tempted to answer all the allegations and stories that the dissidents are getting out (many of them are truly wild and unbelievable!), but I deeply feel that I can better serve you and the Living God if I simply go forward and "do the Work" and not try to indulge in repeated verbal jousting and character assassination. Let's leave that to others. We know who we are. And we know the "fruits" of those who have been faithful to God. The attitudes of hate, jealously and vindictiveness do not befit true servants of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As we reported to you in an e-mail message that was read in many of the churches and video groups, last Thursday we completed two days of wonderful and inspiring meetings with our new Council of Elders and Regional Pastors. This group of outstanding leaders includes Messrs. Dick Ames, Dibar Apartian, Charles Bryce, Don Davis, Jeff Fall, Lambert Greer, Mario Hernandez, Carl McNair, John Ogwyn, Gerald Weston, Doug Winnail and me. All of our Regional Pastors are on this Council and we are including Mr. Apartian and Mr. Hernandez to give us the perspective and input from the International areas of the Work. By the way, if I am such a dictator and "bad guy," how is that all of these very experienced and dedicated ministers are backing me in this effort? Remember that several of these men were on either the previous Council or Board and they saw and heard what was going on and know why my present actions became vitally necessary!
Now we intend to move forward and strengthen the body of Christ and do the Work. I can now announce to you that we are continuing on most of our public access stations with a new television program which, as before, will be presented by Dick Ames and me. We hope to reserve time on superstation WGN, and I now ask you for your fervent prayers that God will open up a good time slot on that station! Within a few weeks, we hope to have a new church magazine in your hands with inspiring news about the Work, about local church activities and containing powerful, heartfelt articles about Christian living and about preparing for our high calling as kings and priests in Christ's soon-coming Kingdom. New booklets are being prepared and a correspondence course is envisioned within a few months.
Through these written materials and through the sermons of our dedicated, loyal ministry, we want to help and inspire all of you brethren to grow, "unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Eph. 4:13). I'm sure that you all realize that now—more than ever—we have a group of wonderful ministers out there who have truly been "tried with fire" and have proved themselves loyal and faithful. But these men and their dedicated wives are certainly "spread thin" in trying to handle several churches and video groups each. And they surely need and deserve your love and loyalty, your encouragement and support in every way.
Brethren, as prophesied events speed up, we really do need to SHAKE the nations of the world with the powerful Message Jesus Christ brought and the end-time prophecies. For prophesied events are certainly speeding up! The new European currency, the "euro," is coming on stream in just a couple of weeks. The eleven European nations committed to the monetary union have already coordinated with each other in lowering their interest rates. As Europe unites politically as well as monetarily, it will soon become the GREATEST power on the face of the earth. And men and women will, in effect, stand in awe of and "worship" this coming religious, political and military power! (Rev. 13:4).
As happened when the Eastern European nations suddenly broke away from the Soviet Union back in 1989-90, so now events may begin to cascade forward, one event impacting and speeding up the other in a kind of domino effect. We need to be "ready." Each of us needs to be truly surrendered to the Living Jesus Christ, yielding to Him daily and even hourly so that He can live His life within us. He can transform our lives and give us a sense of zeal and purpose that unconverted people have never experienced.
Remember, brethren, that we are now in the process of incorporating as the "LIVING CHURCH OF GOD." Please make all tithe and offering checks to the name of the Church from now on. We have that name and an ID number reserved so are assured that all donations can be legally deducted from your taxable income here in the United States. As December 31 draws near, many of you may wish to send extra donations so that they may be deducted from your 1998 taxable income.
Believe me, we are working as hard as we can in this situation of having to "start all over"! We need to let you brethren know that presently we are not in an office and are having to work out of our individual homes. Obviously, we do not have an office phone either. Please pray about this. We deeply appreciate the love and support thousands of you have shown—and are showing—in this effort to continue the Work of God. It's hard to believe that over half of 2005 has come and gone—and what a half year it's been, watching this nation continue its decline into a well-planned living hell.
The last seven months has seen the continued slaughter of American boys in Iraq and Afghanistan, which (according to the "official" number of dead) is now over 1,800. However, if you are among the growing number of Americans who are beginning to doubt most things coming out of "official" Washington, you may want to read an article that I've posted on this website about the Bush regime's coverup of the true number of American dead. If this is true, and the "official" number of war dead turns out to be just another Bush lie, then all of us need to seriously, and with trembling, consider what is in store for the future of this nation.
Speaking of lies, you probably know by now that George Bush handed his banker friends a long-sought-after prize by gutting personal bankruptcy protection for the lowly wage earner—living proof of what religious leaders have known for 2,000 years—that money can work miracles! Surrounded by bankers, with pen in hand and sporting his usual smirk, our fearless leader unabashedly proclaimed the damnable lie that the new law was a "victory" for you and me. To be expected, newspaper editors and some liberal politicians sputtered a little here and there but, being in the same pocket as our politicians, it all fizzled and has been forgotten.
Not to be outdone by the Executive, our Supreme Court handed the same bankers and their cohorts another unprecedented victory by giving them the right to use the courts to condemn homes, farms and small businesses and seize them for a fraction of their value so that they can use the theft for their multimillion-dollar developments—for the good of "the community," don't you know?
The worst part of these latest acts of treason is that most Americans remain oblivious. What's more, my personal belief is that most could care less. For this, we may thank the government-controlled educational system, which, for the past sixty years, has become a well-oiled dumbing-down factory. From kindergarten to the grave, what we think, do and say has been programmed into our brains. That is the reason the majority of Americans don't give a rat's tush what happens in Washington, just as long as it doesn't interfere with their pizza, beer and nightly Blockbuster video rental.
Okay, I'll stop beating this dead horse. I've written countless articles, personals, e-mails and a lengthy book about how this world really works—all to no avail. So, I'll shut up and move on to my other major battlefront: God's Word.
Speaking of Hollywood, what a sendoff old John Paul II got! A flashy, classy show all the way—and worldwide non-stop prime-time media coverage. All of Hollywood's directors and producers combined couldn't have choreographed the kind of funeral JPII received, nor bought that kind of publicity. But what got up my nose (as the British say) was all the regurgitated phony grief from George W. Bush and Tony Blair.
Here they were, these two great champions of Protestantism, standing before world media cameras gurgling over what a great man John Paul II had been, and how much he had done for world peace. World peace, I ask? What the hell were they talking about? Were they talking about that old gold, scarlet and white satin-decked fossil I saw laid out on a cold Vatican marble slab? If so, then they knew something about him that I didn't! And what a joke anyway for city-wrecking, baby-bombers like George Bush and Tony Blair to be talking about "peace", even if it was over the decomposing remains of an accomplished fellow hypocrite.
I ask you, were there less wars in the world when he died, than when JPII ascended the Chair of St. Peter? No. Was there less hunger in the world, less poverty, less evil? No. All John Paul II did during his god-forsaken reign was to live like a billionaire in a palace built upon 2,000 years of lies, deceit and the blood money squeezed from billions of defrauded people, while keeping silent as his legions of pedophile priests continued the "Lord's" work unmolested.
I guess I'm not being completely fair here. Old Johnny Paul did accomplish something more during his reign than living like an emperor: He never failed to turn a blind eye to the international crimes of Christian leaders like Bush and Blair; and he never failed to reinforce the Church's dogma forbidding birth control so that millions of Catholic babies could continue to be born and condemned to a life of poverty, starvation and a slow death. Well, may legions of the Church's mythical demons carry this spiritual abortion to his eternal rest!
Next to JPII, in our time no other man of God has enjoyed his kind of popularity with the exception of the Reverend Billy Graham, the great champion of Protestantism. I call him that because while listening to all the JPII hype, there was feeble, ailing old Billy rambling on about the great loss he felt. He said this knowing full well what Catholic dogma teaches about Protestantism, and that JPII's predecessors would have racked him and burned him at the stake without hesitation!
Of course, maybe Billy's true remorse was not for JPII, but came from beholding the t.v. image of the old dinosaur laying cold and lifeless; knowing that he too would be soon facing the same end—kindred spirits, in a lifeless sort of way.
Seeing the old pope lying dead on my t.v. screen, mingled with film footage of feeble old Billy, caused me to focus on one of Jesus' unbreakable biblical promises.
Look at Billy Graham. Here is a man whose name is a household word in the English speaking world, and who has a proven track record saving millions of souls for the Lord for over sixty years, dying a slow, debilitating death. Wouldn't you think that the Lord in his mercy would fulfill his unbreakable promise and heal Billy for the sake of all those millions of yet unsaved souls? Yeah, right—when hell freezes over!
Yes, yes, I know the pat Christian answer here: God gives us all trials to build Christian character. We suffer with health problems to become more Christ-like. That sounds fine, if your brain is running low on oil. But for those of us who've given our minds a jumpstart, we know that the promise of healing doesn't say anything about having to suffer the curse of the damned with a cancer eating out our guts while we build character. It simply promises that the believer will be healed if he or she demonstrates their faith by coming to the elders of the church to be anointed in Jesus' name. And—as Lawrence Anthony is quick to point out—what character-building lesson does an infant need to learn as it agonizingly screams out its tiny lungs in some hospital intensive care unit with a sad-eyed priest hovering nearby fingering some black beads?
Listen, all ye good Christian men and women, why in the hell doesn't your god just do what he promised and heal his faithful sheep when they demonstrate their faith by coming to the elders of the church and are anointed in Jesus' name? Indeed, why do good Christians soul-savers like Billy and Johnny Paul have to undergo dozens of medical procedures over the course of decades just to keep breathing and spending tithe money?
Well, obviously John Paul knew what most Christians do not, and so does Billy—that healing is one of the bible's biggest frauds and the shortest route to the grave! That's why their faith is in a doctor, and not in Jesus, and why they both managed to live for eight decades on earth. I mean, if John Paul II had relied on healing when that gunman pumped a bullet in his belly, he'd have been fertilizing the catacombs under St. Peter's twenty-five years ago!
Anyway, with death knocking on the church door, Billy decided that he would hold his 417th and last soul-saving crusade for the Lord. He did so in June, and, to hear the reporters rave, one would have thought that Billy had landed on Mars instead of dragging himself on a stage to thump a bible. God in heaven, everywhere I turned there were front page headlines and t.v. news anchors blathering on about the sixty years of service Billy has been to humanity. Bull!
Billy Graham has rendered sixty years of service to Billy Graham, and living like a king while countless millions have suffered directly or indirectly from the lies that he has preached. Further, I charge that anyone with Graham's background cannot help but know the truth about the bible, which means that he is a living monument to fraud. More than this, any man who has walked and "prayed" with kings, prime ministers, presidents and politicians of every stripe, surely knows the truth about the state of our so-called democracy. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the case. Graham is a showman—a carnival snake-oil hawker who has been shamelessly promoted by the men who pull the strings of this New World Order because he serves their purpose. All I can say about Billy Graham is that truly I hope this is his last crusade—in more ways than one!
I know that some will be hollering that I'm being very nasty in this personal; that some religious men and women have accomplished great services to mankind. That's debatable. But assuming the argument is valid, I say that for every service performed in Jesus' name unfathomable misery, destruction and death has been wrought in the same name for two thousand years of earthly hell. Handing out a sermon and soup at a homeless kitchen, or providing a temporary shelter and Gideon Bible for a battered woman will never erase that kind of suffering—especially if the impetus for doing so is founded upon lies.
I say that if a man or woman wants to do something to help their fellow humans, they should first help themselves by learning the unpleasant truth about how everything really works in this world. The "unpleasant" part will be discovering the horrific scope of the lies under which we all labor. The beneficial part will be taking the first step towards ridding ourselves of the lies by which the priests and politicians have robbed us all to create their new world order. Actually, I'm talking about one lie in particular.
From our mother's knee, to kindergarten, to college we all have been taught that we owe the "downtrodden" of the world a helping hand. Because we have been the victims of a lifetime of relentless brainwashing, what none dare bring into focus is that "downtrodden" is just another word for people too damned trifling or lacking in rudimentary intelligence to take care of themselves. Now, before you go for my throat, ask yourself why you owe such people anything? To feed them so they can continue to spawn like trout in a stream and raise up another generation of trifling, starving "downtrodden" people so our children can feed and clothe them? I say let Jesus feed and clothe the miserable, weak-minded and diseased-ridden wretches of the world, who his damned religious philosophy has partially created.
The men of old who devised that "love-your-neighbor-as-yourself" tripe didn't want people like us to focus on the eternal truth that human nature is instinctively and rightly self-centered. It is our nature to take care of ourselves first and foremost, and is something called self-preservation. It is our duty to first and foremost take care of ourselves and our family, and then secondly, if we so choose, our friends and neighbors. Unless it directly benefits us, for what purpose should we venture any money or effort on strangers? It has taken the priest and politician centuries of preaching Jesus, an ever-burning hell and never-ending guilt to threaten away this truth from the minds of humanity.
"Christian guilt." What a trillion-dollar concept. Truly it can move mountains and nations! "Religion is power, a political engine, and if there was no god, I would have to invent one", Napoleon once said. Well, I have news for Napoleon: Another man beat him to it, which is why people will trade most anything they possess for a pie-in-the-sky promise of a paradise in the clouds.
Most great world leaders knew that there was no all-powerful god sitting up in heaven pulling strings. They knew that all that has come and gone, and all that will ever come and go, came from the hands of men. They knew that we humans are the final judges of right and wrong on earth; that all laws, holy or otherwise, are the work of man, and man alone. No god wrote them. This is why they have moved heaven and earth to take this truth from the minds of people to themselves. This is why they move heaven and earth to keep this truth hidden under the guise of holy writs and decalogues.
Listen. Some have lived an entire lifetime only to discover what I'm about to reveal here: Every man and woman was born with the right—nay—the duty to decide right and wrong for themselves! Only a fool would abrogate such a treasure to anyone or anything. The realization of that right and duty paves a road for one to climb the heights of world power. Conversely, if abrogated, it condemns to a mediocre life under the damnable "turn-the-other-cheek" philosophy of a dead god. It condemns to a slave mentality. The powers-that-be know that when people learn this fundamental truth, then all the king's horses and all the king's men can't put Humpty back together again. This is why they wage a relentless war for the minds and souls of Western civilization. This is why they desperately need the "love-thy-neighbor-as-thyself" Jesus myth and all the fears that come along for the ride. Without it they lose control.
If I may paraphrase Dr. Ragnar Redbeard, I for one am sick to death of the good Lord Jesus and the frauds who teach his lies—both in church and in government. I am sick of watching our once-great people being robbed of their future while trotting to their doom with tails a' wagging. To hell with the poor—they'll always be with you, as Jesus, in a rare moment of honesty, once proclaimed. Wake up and realize that now is the time and place to live life and to lavish upon ourselves the fruits of our labor. If we squander this knowledge and opportunity, then we will forever throw away our tomorrows.
To close, let me offer further insight by quoting from the first chapter of Dr. Ragnar Redbeard's classic nineteenth-century work: "How is it that 'men of light and leading' hardly ever call into question the manufactured 'moral codes,' under which our once vigorous Northern race is slowly and surely eating out its heart in peaceful inaction and laborious dry-rot?
"Standard 'moral principles' are arbitrarily assumed by their orthodox apologist to be a fixed and unalterable quantity, and that to doubt the divine-rightness of these 'principles' is treason and sacrilege. When the greatest thinkers of a race are incapable, or afraid to perform their manifest and logical function, it is scarcely to be wondered that average citizens are, also, somewhat unwilling to 'risk life, fortune, and sacred honor' for the overthrow of popularized 'right and wrong' concepts, that they know from bitter personal experience, are unworkable falsities. Although the average man feels in his heart that nearly all political and religious conventionalisms are dynamic deceits, yet how cautiously he avoids any open display of antagonism thereto? He has not the courage of his opinions. He is afraid to say openly what he thinks secretly. In other words he is living in a state of subjectiveness; of vassalage. He allows his brain to be dominated and held in bondage by the brain of another. From his infancy he has been deliberately subjected to a continuous external pressure, especially designed to coerce his understanding into strict accord with pre-arranged views of moral, political or religious 'duty.'
He has not been permitted one moment of real mental liberty. He imbibed fraudulent conventionalisms with his mother's milk. He listens to the most hideous lies being glorified in his presence as sublime truth. He hears falsehoods sung in swelling chorus. He hears them sounded on bugles of silver and brass. He hears them intoned by congregations of the faithful amid peals of sacred music, and the solemn roll of chanted prayer. Thus his mind is sterilized by authority before it has had a chance to mature. Thus youth is mentally castrated, that its natural vitality may be afterwards used up in the yoke of custom—which is the yoke of slavery. In the nursery, at school, and at college, plastic brain-pulp is deliberately forced into the pre-arranged mold. Everything that a corrupt civilization can do, is done to compress the growing intellect into unnatural channels. Thus the great mass of men who inhabit the world of to-day have no initiative, no originality or independence of thought, but are mere subjective individualities, who have never had the slightest voice in fashioning the ideals that they formally revere.
"Although the average man has taken no part in manufacturing moral codes and statutes laws, yet how he obeys them with dog-like submissiveness. He is trained to obedience, like oxen are broken to the yoke of their masters. He is a born thrall [slave] habituated from childhood to be governed by others.
"Chinese civilization deliberately distorts its children's feet by swathing them in bandages of silk and hoop-iron. Christian civilization crushes and cramps the minds of its youth by means of false philosophies, artificial moral codes and ironclad political creeds. Deleterious [destructive] sub-theories of good and evil are systematically injected into our natural literatures, and gradually (without serious obstruction) they crystallize themselves into cast iron formulas, infallible constitutions, will-o-the-wisp evangels and other deadly epidemics.
"Modern 'leaders of thought' are almost wholly wanting in originality and courage. Their wisdom is foolishness, their remedies poison. They idiotically claim that they guide the destinies of nations, whereas, in reality, they are but the flotsam and scum-froth that glides smoothly down the dark stream of decadence.
"Thus all the people of the earth are helpless, seeing those that lead are blind.' Mankind is aweary, aweary of its sham prophets, its demagogues and its statesmen. It crieth out for kings and heroes. It demands a nobility—a nobility that cannot be hired with money, like slaves or beasts of burden. The world awaits the coming of mighty men of valor, great destroyers; destroyers of all that is vile, angels of death. We are sick unto nausea of the "good Lord Jesus," terror-stricken under the executive of priest, mob and proconsul."

Let me start by acknowledging that I'm a bit behind in writing these personals. My excuse will be that there never seems to be enough time in a day for all I want to accomplish—and believe me, I take old Ben Franklin's advice to heart and try not to squander time, for I've learned that it is truly the stuff of which life is made.
Before getting to my message, I want to publicly thank Laurel Browning for her efforts in organizing a meeting of our website supporters in Springfield, Missouri at the end of October, 2004. Thanks to Laurel we all had a wonderful time, and I came away with many things on which to reflect for the future. For those of us who were there, the Springfield meeting proves that there is life after the bible!
In January I wrote a letter to the editor of a national weekly newspaper protesting its noticeable Christian slant. The letter was published, which opened a floodgate of Christian protest aimed at this website. It also brought responses from some odd characters, like the only true prophet of God on earth who has the power to call down curses from heaven. Others offered to take my posted challenge and prove to me that the bible is God's word, except they didn't want to answer any of my questions. Instead they assured me that it all came down to faith—faith in their own brand of religion, as it turned out. One man (who extolled the virtues of Martin Luther) wrote that the proof of the bible was easy for those who understand, but cannot be explained to those who "don't understand"—whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. On the upside of the experience, I heard from people who had read my books years ago, and who were very pleased to again make contact. We reviewed old times and discussed the problems wrought by religion—which, we agreed, are now threatening the very existence of this planet.
On that note, I want to discuss something that may not seem directly related to the bible, but is central to the meaning of this page. It is the question of who really runs this world, their agenda and their means of accomplishing what can only be described as a diabolical plan for world economic enslavement. To lay the ground work for this, let me quote from U.S. Congressman Ron Paul, M.D. (R-Rep. Texas), who is, in my opinion, one of the few honest politicians now holding office. Congressman Paul gave an interview with Erik Forman on February 23, 2004 for his book, Webs of Power: Government Agencies, Secret Societies, and Elite Legacies. Part of that interview follows:
EF: "First question: do you believe there are secret forces at work that are attempting to dismantle the [American] Constitution and the Bill of Rights?
RP—I don't know what the best word is, but secret is pretty good. They're certainly not known to a lot of people; it's actually what they're doing. But then again, it's not absolute secrecy. If you look around you can usually get the information. There was a time when nobody even knew who was a member of the CFR [Council on Foreign Relations] or the Trilateral Commission. I think it's a bad sign that they're not as secret as they used to be. They're bolder now. But there is an agenda. They're behind the scenes in many way—very secretive. And, that was certainly the case on those individuals who planned and pushed us into the Iraqi War.
EF—I've read in The New America that you are aware of the Round Table Groups, Skull & Bones, and other "secret societies" that have actively participated in the dismantling. In your essay "Neoconned", you went so far as to align the Bush Administration with Trotskyites. However, it seems that the Bush/Skull & Bones guys are perpetually fighting the United Nations, the CFR, the Bildebergs. Are the Bohemian Grove Republicans on the same team as the Rockefeller Round Table members, or are they at war? RP—You know, their rhetoric suggests they might not like the United Nations, and you hear that often. They'll be complaining about the United Nations, and this and that. But, we have to remember, when it came time to get authority and a reason to go to war, they mentioned the United Nations twenty-one times in the authority, when we voted for the authority for the President to go to war when he felt like it. . . .
EF—You have also written (and I have quoted you) that the U.N. is actively working to criminalize the 2nd Amendment. Who do you think the men at the top are, and what is their ultimate plan?
RP—Anybody in Washington that likes big government, authoritarian government, which is most of them; deep down, the 2nd Amendment is their greatest obstacle, in the physical sense. Their other greatest obstacle is the right of free speech. I think that they haven't been able to be as aggressive with guns because it's a healthy sign of this country. I think our people defend the 2nd Amendment better than they defend the 1st Amendment. Which is sort of a twist, I think. Twenty years ago that probably wasn't the case. Once again, what they say and what they really want are two different things. They criticize the U.N, yet they want to build it up. They can say they support the 2nd Amendment. At the same time, they wouldn't mind curtailing that freedom. Because that is the ultimate freedom.
I kid a lot at my speeches and say, you know, I believe in gun control. I want to take the guns away from those 100,000 federal bureaucrats who own them. The Al Gores of the world, Schumer, these people . . . they want a monopoly of the guns. They never talk about getting rid of the guns from the bureaucrats. But, they want to get rid of the guns from the people who can't defend themselves. . . .
EF—You have sponsored legislation that would get America out of the United Nations. Some Americans believe that if we must go to war, that the United Nations would be the people to fight. You have claimed that the U.N. is actively working to destroy American sovereignty. Can you list of the main bullet points that support that theory?
RP—Well, just everything they've done. Everything the U.N. does from day one, you give up a certain amount of your sovereignty. And, the worst giving up is this notion of going to war under U.N. resolutions, which we did very quickly after we got in the United Nations. There was a U.N. resolution and we sent off all those men to get killed in Korea.
Whether it's that, or the WTO [World Trade Organization] that manages trade, or the IMF [International Monetary Fund] that we subsidize with our taxpayers' money and then they go off and play games with their special interests. They rarely ever help poor countries. The World Bank isn't any better. That's an international welfare scheme. It's sold as a scheme that's going to help poor people in poor countries. But, all these programs end up helping the very wealthy, connected corporations and banks.
EF—You talk about the WTO, the IMF, the World Bank. With these groups, the American Government has been complicit in many atrocities. We've used our troops to overthrow democratically elected leaders, massacred tribes and dissenters. I am against the United Nations. But, if they don't stop our government from committing these acts, who does it fall to?
RP—The American people have to be responsible. And yet, they don't have much clout, and they're not as well informed, and they respond to the propaganda. But then the most important branch is the U.S. Congress, because we're there, we're sworn to uphold the Constitution. If they—if the executive branch or the United Nations—oversteps their bounds, our moral and Constitutional responsibility is to restrain them. But, Congress never seems to and the people don't seem to hold it against too many. We're going through this right now with Iraq and Afghanistan, spending these hundreds of billions of dollars, not doing any good at all. At the same time, we're going broke.
EF—About the police state and the seemingly endless assault on civil liberties: Can you recall a time in American history when the common, blue-blooded American was more in danger of losing the powerful right of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness than he or she is today? Or have we always been clandestinely oppressed, and every generation thinks their loss of liberty is the worst? RP—It has been going on a long time. In fact, we shouldn't be totally pessimistic. I think the Internet and radio shows have awakened a lot of people. The fact that we stirred up opposition to the Patriot Act is pretty good, because nobody of significance as yet has been pulled out of their bedrooms in the middle of the night and hauled off. Though, we have the Guantanamo-type arrests. That's a little different than what we are afraid of.
The Civil War probably did more to undermine the principle of the Republic than any other one particular war. But, if you look at the violation of civil liberties in World War I, I mean, they were atrocious. And that war was unnecessary as well. So, it seems like all those things are bad now, and there's more internationalism. There's probably more awareness, too. It's just that those who have become aware and would like to stop it—we're still in the minority. We don't have control.
EF—Many Libertarians agree that our right to bear arms is the only thing that assures a defense against martial law, and the insurance for the other nine Amendments. Do you believe that the Clinton-sponsored assault rifle ban (currently supported by President Bush) is unconstitutional? If so, what do you say to the millions of Americans who believe in the 2nd Amendment, yet support the ban?
RP—Ha . . . Well, you mean go along with the ban. That's a personal choice on what you do. It is unconstitutional, and that's why I have a bill that would repeal it. I think what you're leaning to is they go along with it and the question is whether or not you should practice civil disobedience and just ignore it. People do that at their own risk.
Sort of like, I don't think much of what the IRS does as being legal or constitutional. I mean, it's pretty abusive. Especially if you compound it on the way they collect taxes, and then what they do with the money. They then take your money and they enforce bans on automatic rifles. It's all pretty bad. But, when it comes to what somebody would do, we shouldn't be complacent to go along and say well it's not so bad and we'll just play this game. But, I take the position that I should do whatever I can to change it, so that's why I get involved in politics. Others, who have chosen another route—whether it's taxes, or guns, or whatever—they do it at risk because they practice civil disobedience. You can be absolutely right on the Constitution, but the Constitution is no longer a defense in court. So, the federal laws and the judicial system is very biased against us. I could conceive of a time where if they came and curtailed, they took everyone off the radio that they didn't like. They are now monitoring the Internet, since the Patriot Act was passed.
EF—Will our government eventually made handguns illegal?
RP—If they do it and they get away with it, it means we didn't do a very good job. Because, you know, the Saturday Night Special is a wonderful weapon. Because they should be legalized in every household, especially the inner city. Because, that's where the greatest amount of crime is. People who are poor and minority, live in the city, have the least amount of protection. And, they're getting robbed and killed. They could afford a cheap handgun, and they should be allowed to do it. . . .
EF—I'd like to turn your attention to propaganda, and state-sanctioned mind control. It is common knowledge that the CIA and military have conducted mind control experimentation on American citizens. The most notorious case was Project MK Ultra in which Goldwater sat in on the Senate Hearings against the accused. Each time these agencies have been caught performing experiments, they shrug it off and say the activity was done a few decades ago, and that they have subsisted. Yet, more evidence surfaces, and we become aware that the mind control projects went on at least until the eighties. Now, when we hear rumors that the government has abducted children or sponsored sex slavery, we don't want to believe it, but we must not discard it because of the government's past history. Do you believe that members of our government are still actively involved in individual mind control experimentation?
RP—Probably, but the tragedy is I don't know. The tragedy is that I'm in the Congress, and even when those bills come up you can't get much information. I would assume to some degree they are. You know, what is official and what is not official? Some of the CIA gets caught trading drugs and financing some corrupt regime, which they have been caught. That individual, "We don't even know who you are, buddy." They disown you. And, that's why the CIA in particular is a very, very dangerous organization. Although, we made a major step in the wrong direction when this administration made it clear that we would fight preemptive wars, even though we hadn't been attacked. We have been doing that for a long time. But, this time it's bolder, because they're announcing it, and saying this is policy. The CIA's been involved in coups for years. The CIA put the Shah of Iran in power, and that led to the radicalization of Iran. We're suffering from that since. So, that's the heinous stuff. . . .
EF—What about mass mind manipulation. Do you think that Clear Channel and other media outlets are intentionally trying to manipulate us?
RP—I think they're propagandists, you know, and they're propagandists for the administration. That's pretty significant. But, uh, hopefully, we have to be careful exactly how you define it, because what if they want to make the same accusation against everybody on our side that resorts to radio and Internet. "Oh, see that Internet stuff. These are bad people, and they're lying, and they're passing this horrible propaganda." And, that's why we all have to try as hard as we can to stick to the facts and the things that we know. But, throughout the whole 20th Century, even before Clear Channel, the media is owned by big business who owns the corporations who make a lot of money. They always support the war: WWI, WWII. And they do. They control public opinion. . . . [Rep. I use this partial interview to illustrate that the notion of sinister secret societies at work in our government is not the babblings of kooks and cranks, as has been charged by the likes of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. In the opinion of many seasoned, well-informed observers, the just-endured sham presidential re-election campaign, in which a lack-luster senator was run against incumbent George W. Bush, was a major triumph of these hidden peoples and has brought the world a little closer to the end of democracy—or at least what has been passing for democracy.
This website isn't the place to lay out the particulars of what the informed refer to as the New World Order (NWO), which is a euphemism given legitimacy by President George Bush after the Gulf War, and was used by his son in last month's inaugural speech. For those who want the facts, there are highly-respectable, tremendously informative websites and publications containing the well-documented research of men and women who risk all to make it public. What I want to cover here is one of the most-effective tools in the NWO arsenal, which is religion.
Among the e-mails received this past month was one that asked if I could explain why the prophecies of the book of Revelation seem to be unfolding before our eyes? The answer to that is simple, in a complex sort of way.
Religion, specifically the bible, is a tremendously important part of Western culture. Over the centuries it has made and broke kings and nations. It has enslaved whole peoples, raped them of their wealth or inspired them to great heights for the benefit of their masters. Such a powerful tool has never been overlooked by anyone, or anything wanting to achieve the ultimate goal of world domination, nor is it overlooked today. As Pope Leo X observed about 500 years ago, "How well we know what a profitable superstition this fable of Christ has been for us!"(1)
Yes indeed it has, which is why we saw people like Bill and Hillary Clinton trudging off to Sunday morning worship at some chic Washington church, or today hear about George W. Bush opening White House meetings with prayers for guidance. Come on! Is there really anyone out there naïve enough to believe the "Christian piety" of these people? You bet there is! Born-again Christians are that naïve, which they've proven time and again—summed up in a bumper sticker I saw during the recent presidential campaign that read: "Jesus and George W. Bush in 2005".
Just as the U.S. Constitution stands in the way of the NWO's ultimate aim, Christian support has been essential for it to achieve those goals. It's that simple. And so, the bible is put to use, specifically biblical prophecy, which centers on the Middle East.
Listen, either the bible is the word of God, or it's not. If it can be proven not to be then what we see unfolding in the Middle East is the well-planned work of men—and we are talking about men who planned and executed the First and Second World Wars, elected presidents, or disgraced them; men who could force an income tax on America, or engineer a world-wide economic depression; men who foisted upon this nation the heinous private monster known as the Federal Reserve, to whom we owe our trillions in debt. Think not that they could also manipulate the seeming "fulfilment" of bible prophecy, especially with the complicity of highly-visible televangelists and their faithful army known as the Christian right. And what a payoff it's been: The oil-rich fields of the Middle East, and the theft of an entire land for the use of Zionist goals—which is why so many Orthodox Jews fight against the state of Israel. This is the reason that so many non-Christian patriots are worried. We know the truth about the bible, and we know the truth about those who are really in control of this world. We know the basics of their schemes, and we are in fear, for the world we know is crumbling and a new world order is indeed taking shape, as President George Bush said after the Gulf War and his son said in his most-recent inaugural speech. And if you have doubts about your rosy future, then I ask that you remember the old Soviet Union and all the horror that system inflicted. The same people who brought that monster to life, and then pulled the plug on it are at work today. Time is running out. The world we all know is winding down before our eyes while we blindly play their game.
