I know it's December and time to pay homage to the "little Lord Jesus," but you'll excuse me please if I pass on that yearly ritual! After all, with all the information out there proving the whole Christmas thing a massive fraud, I say that if people are dumb enough to still worship a little naked baby in a horse trough whose career ended as a horsewhipped dead man on a stick, why should I waste my time penning one more word about the subject?
What I want to do for December is to introduce everyone to a web site that was made known to me by a reader in Missouri. I'm going to do this by posting a portion of one of the site's many articles along with a link to the site's URL. What would happen if we get down on our knees and pray to God in this way:
Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. We pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We pray sincerely, knowing that when God answers this completely heartfelt, unselfish, non-materialistic prayer, it will glorify God and help millions of people in remarkable ways. Will anything happen? No. Of course not.
This is very odd. Jesus makes specific promises in the Bible about how prayer is supposed to work. Jesus says in many different places that he and God will answer your prayers. And Christians believe Jesus—according to this recent article, "54% of American adults believe the Bible is literally true." In some areas of the country the number goes as high as 75%.
If the Bible is literally true, then something is seriously amiss. Simply look at the facts. In Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
If "every one who asks receives", then if we ask for cancer to be cured, it should be cured. Right? If "our Father who is in heaven gives good things to those who ask him", then if we ask him to cure cancer, he should cure it. Right? And yet nothing happens.
In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says:
For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
If "nothing will be impossible to you", then if we ask to cure cancer tonight, cancer should disappear. Right? Yet nothing happens. Note that if we take the Bible less-than-literally here, the statement "nothing will be impossible to you" becomes "lots of things will be impossible to you," and that would mean that Jesus is lying.
In Matthew 21:21:
I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
If "you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer", then if we ask to cure cancer tonight, cancer should dissappear. Right? Yet nothing happens. Note again that there is not a non-literal way to interpret "you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer", unless you replace "whatever" with "nothing" or "little."
The message is reiterated Mark 11:24:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
If God says, "believe that you have received it, and it will be yours," and if we believe in God and his power, then what should happen if we pray to cure cancer tonight? It should be cured. Either that, or God is lying.
In John chapter 14, verses 12 through 14, Jesus tells all of us just how easy prayer can be:
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
Look at how direct this statement is: "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." This is the "Son of God" speaking. Have we taken him "too literally?" No. This is a simple, unambiguous statement. Have we taken his statement "out of context?" No—Jesus uses the word anyone. Yet Jesus' statement is obviously false. Because when we ask God to cure cancer tonight, nothing happens. We see the same thing over and over again...
In Matthew 18:19 Jesus says:
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
In James 5:15-16 the Bible says:
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
In Mark 9:23:
All things are possible to him who believes.
In Luke 1:37:
For with God nothing will be impossible.
Nothing could be simpler or clearer than Jesus' promises about prayer in the Bible. Yet, when we pray to eliminate cancer, nothing happens.
And keep in mind that this is Jesus talking here. These are not the words of human beings. These are not the words of "inspired" human beings. These are supposedly the words of God himself, incarnated in a human body. Jesus is supposed to be a perfect, sinless being. And yet, it is obvious that Jesus is lying. What Jesus says is clearly incorrect.
Jesus is supposed to be God. God is supposed to be perfect. When Jesus speaks, he should speak the truth. Yet when we look at what Jesus says about prayer, he is clearly lying.
If you would like additional proof, gather a million faithful believers together into a giant prayer circle. Have them all pray together in Jesus' name that God cures every case of cancer on the planet tomorrow. Pray sincerely, knowing that when God answers this completely heartfelt, unselfish, non-materialistic prayer, it will glorify God and help millions of people in remarkable ways. Now, we certainly have two or more people gathered together, and they have asked in Jesus' name, and we have not one but a million faithful believers who, by definition, have faith and believe. We have fulfilled every one of Jesus' requirements.
Will Jesus answer the prayer now? Of course not. Your prayer will go unanswered, in direct defiance to Jesus' promises in the Bible. In fact, if you pray for anything that is impossible, your prayer will always go unanswered.
If you are an intelligent, rational human being, all of the examples mentioned above show you that the God of the Bible is imaginary. What Jesus says about prayer in the Bible clearly is not true.
In fact, we have ample scientific evidence to demonstrate that the belief in prayer is nothing but pure superstition, as shown in the next proof. . . .

While on the home front Christians have been preoccupied this past month with the scandal over Rev. Ted Haggard's sexcapade with a male prostitute, evangelical Christianity's partners in crime continue their God-ordained killing spree in the "Holy Land." For this month's personal I would like to share with our readers the following story from Mark Glenn. It will need no commentary.
November 11th, 2006
"I have to get home to my mother, she will be so worried if I am not back soon."
Nine-year-old Mona clutched at the gaping hole in her stomach, blood pouring out of her as if someone had turned on a faucet. There was something so terribly and indescribably out of place in her frail words, the colliding of two disparate worlds, that of a mother's child, and that of a little girl facing down the ugliest of what life and humanity had to offer. The man who was kneeling at her side however knew better. He was a trained medical professional, and in a war zone known as Gaza of all places. He had seen this scenario a thousand times before, and a thousand times too many as far as he was concerned. This child would not be going home, at least not her earthly home, given the fact that she had just been shot in the stomach at close range by a soldier wielding a machine gun, the bullets from which produced exit wounds on her tiny body that were as large as golf balls. Had she known that her insides had just been turned to mush, it is highly unlikely that she would have been as composed as she was at this moment. Her gesture in worrying about her mother, about not wanting to cause a beloved parent any grief was partly genuine, and partly an attempt to distract herself from the fact that she knew something terrible had just happened to her. Indeed a child's sweetness knows no bounds, irrespective of where such a child can be found in the world. As she lie in a bath of her own warm blood that increased with each passing second, while frantic adults attempt to effect that which they know is futile, all she can think is that her mother must be worried, and how she wishes she could be home with her now, if only for enough time to give her one final embrace, tell her of a daughter's love, and to say goodbye.
In the end, it all came down to sweets, an indispensable part of any child's life, even in places that have been torn apart by warfare for the last century such as this. Today, little Mona, despite having grown up in a world of bullets and mortars, allowed the carelessness of her childhood to overpower her reason just enough to persuade her towards venturing forth into that deadly world of never ending violence to buy some cookies at the corner store. The fact that Israeli soldiers were busy with their latest masterpiece in butchery nearby did not seem to arouse her concern. After all, when all things were considered, this was just another day in the life of someone who knew she had been born under a sentence of death and who had developed an intimacy of sorts with this fact as if it had been her own skin. On her way back, humming something sweet and armed with nothing more dangerous than the cookies in her hand, she was indiscriminately shot by an Israeli soldier, who, like all the rest of his ilk, had been told by both political and spiritual leaders that it is the religious duty of all good Zionists, a mitzvah, to cleanse the promised land of any impurities that may be infecting it, a process of sterilization which included, if it can be imagined, slaughtering helpless Arab children. And so, this courageous and obedient soldier from among a group of people who fancy themselves as being a light among nations, without the slightest hesitation pulled the trigger, simultaneously swatting away at the shred of what remained of his conscience as if it were some species of annoying insect.
For little Mona, it merely felt like a lit match touching her insides momentarily, and it was not until she began to feel the sensation of warm wetness on her dress that she began to panic. Her first instinct was that she might get into trouble for having gotten her new dress dirty, since the last thing her mother told her before leaving the house was to make sure not to get it messy.
Thus is the mind of a child, even when facing the awfulness of eternity that their thoughts are always to be found firmly rooted in something trivial and sweet. Perhaps it was the panic stricken appearances on the faces of those around her who were trying to help that caused her to realize the seriousness of what it was that she was facing, or perhaps it was the unseen whisper into her soul from some divine messenger telling her to hurry up, since time was running out. Either way, no one really knows. And so in that fifteen seconds before her spirit was liberated from the hellish existence that had been imposed upon her and upon the rest of the inhabitants of the Holy Land by the self-described 'chosen people', the little Palestinian child of 9 years forgot all about her cookies, as well as about every other item of what encompasses a child's existence, grew up quickly, remembered everything she had been taught during the religion classes she had taken throughout her life, and made her last statement of faith. In her last words, there was no malice, no pulsa de nura–the infamous curses that rabbis and Orthodox Jews hurl daily at passing Christians or Muslims in Israel, no condemnations, no vows of revenge. Her composure, as she lie there in a pool of her own blood, was as graceful and as dignified as was that of any patriot or saint who has secured a rightly earned place in mankind's memory as a result of having had his or her life cut short by the actions of men hell-bent upon doing evil to others. For Mona, it would be one simple statement, without any fanfare or drama, final words that will probably be remembered by few, short of those who loved her more than they loved themselves.
The little girl whose life had been snuffed out like a candle, the last fragrance of this little Palestinian flower who had been cut down by the hatchet of Jewish supremacism had nothing more spiteful in her final curtain call other than "God is great." From a bird's eye view, this was but one of several tragic scenes taking place on that day. A few miles away, a family of seven had just barely made it out of their home when the bulldozer crashed through where the living room was. There were no warnings that this demolition process was about to take place, and had it not been for the fact that 14 year-old Ismail went to the window to see what the noise was that was coming from outside, the entire family would most likely have been buried beneath the rubble. This was a common occurrence these days, of not ordering the evacuation of a home to be demolished, since the Israelis cared nothing about the lives of the filthy Arabs who were polluting their sacred land, and thus preferred that the entire mess be hauled away, home and dwellers included.

It's been an interesting month for this page. To be sure we've had some characters stop by! First there was Jacob who damned Linda Packer and me and painted a scene of the hopeful event complete with demons raping me from every orifice—something that kinda reminded me of a south Missouri road house where I once stopped to use a telephone! There was Pastor Matthew Dunaway who kept slapping me in the face with Josh McDowell, and then left the scene crowing about proving the bible to be God's word. Following these came Cam, who was "mildly" peeved with me and showed her displeasure by insulting my genitalia. And then there was an e-mail from a Christian lady whose language was so vile that it could have melted the wall paint from off a public toilet. I would have posted that amusing piece of crap in our Mail Bag except that she threatened to sue me if I did!
Okay, my anonymous Christian admirer has some issues—as some New Age psychologist would analyze her letter. The fact that I would like to stuff the thing up her vicious nose and toss her from a moving vehicle is neither here nor there. I don't pretend to be a Christian. What fuels my fire are those "good souls" who preach the Lord on one hand and spew hatred on the other. They are the same nasty people the world over, no matter what they pray to or believe in.
An old bastard with a bible in hand always will be an old bastard; a bitch pretending to love the Lord always will be a bitch, and no amount of soul saving will change either. The thing is that such people are being true to their natures, nothing more or less. Try as they may to put on a different face, but in the end they will show through for what they are. That's why the opposite situation is true. A good natured person always will be a good natured person whether or not he or she serves Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed or espouses Darwinism. It is this latter group that is my focus here because they do good without the threat of being eternally roasted for some paltry failure (such as being born into the wrong church) or for grandiose promises of eternal reward.
For all you who write wondering why I do what I do, you now have your answer to the riddle: I don't need to be promised 72 virgins in Paradise, or a chance to lie on my face before the throne of God shouting hosannas for eternity, nor do I need Jacob's threat of being raped by demons in the Lord's eternal barbecue pit; I do what I do because I care enough to try and save this world from those "well-meaning" Christians, Islamics, Jews and other varieties of snake charmers out there who seem hell-bent on sending this world into oblivion!

As difficult as it will be, this month I'm going to resist writing about little Georgie Bush and his murderous Israeli pals and what they've been doing in Lebanon for the past two months. I'm going to resist again mentioning how "Israel" was created by stealth, theft and murder—how one people, who had no title, gave away the land of another people to a group of strangers who had no right to the land. I'm not going to point out that anytime such circumstances exist there will NEVER be peace and that anyone fool enough to involve themselves with the invaders will suffer their ultimate fate.
No, what I'm going to focus on this month is some more bedroom frolicking between Christian fundamentalists and their Zionist pals, and how in that steamy affair the rest of us are actually the ones getting . . . well, you get the picture!
To start I wish I had one of those good news/bad news scenarios to report (hey, a little good news is better than none at all). But that is not the case. There is no good news; there is only bad news and more bad news. So (recalling an old line from a Betty Davis film) fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy night!
On August 8, 2006 Max Blumenthal posted an article on The Nation web page which he titled "Birth Pangs of a New Christian Zionism" ( Click here to read the article.)
In the article Blumenthal reports about a series of "off-the-record" meetings between the White House and leaders of a newly-formed group calling itself Christians United for Israel, or CUFI. I mean, goddamned! The world needs another Zionist special interest group pestering and bribing politicians like it needs a new strain of venereal disease! But hold on! This isn't just another common garden variety Israeli lobby here; we are talking about people who have the clout to saunter right up to the White House and to be invited inside to reinforce that moron Bush on the notion that Israel's "expansionist policies" are "a biblical imperative." Blumenthal reports that CUFI's Washington lobbyist, one David Brog, told him that their agenda is to press White House officials "to adopt a more confrontational posture toward Iran, refuse aid to the Palestinians and give Israel a free hand as it ramped up its military conflict with Hezbollah."
Did you catch that? This latest passel of Christian-Zionist fanatics is trying to persuade Georgie Bush to "adopt a more confrontation posture toward Iran, refuse aid to the Palestinians and give Israel a free hand as it ramped up its military conflict with Hezbollah"! Pardon me for using this inane, useless expression, but God in heaven! The last thing little Georgie needs is someone trying to sell him on the notion to provoke a war with Iran, screw the Palestinians even worse than he has, and to GIVE ISRAEL A FREE HAND to wantonly bulldoze, burn, pillage, rape, torture and commit genocide in the Middle East!
Ahhh, but apparently this was music to the ears of our fearless leader since this latest little self-appointed Christian Sanhedrin was given the White House VIP treatment, although leader Brog was instructed not to go shooting off his mouth about the details of the meeting. No surprise here. But the really bad news is not that the Bush junta met with Brog and his Christian Zionists, but that CUFI was founded by that dangerous bible-pounding Zionist fanatic John Hagee of San Antonio. I say "dangerous" because Hagee's 18,000 member Cornerstone Church finances a televison ministry wherein Hagee scares the hell out of the less brilliant among us with his version of Armageddon-style prophecy, which ties into the subject of my September personal.
From time to time I receive letters from those who ask me to explain how it is that so-called biblical prophecy seems to be fulfilling itself before our very eyes, especially in the Middle East. People ask if this is not proof that the bible is God's word? It's a valid question, and completely understandable when we consider that the majority has been born and "raised" on the word of Jesus, giving Christianity the decided advantage in our culture.
To start, it is vital that we understand the true genesis of Christianity: 1.) In the beginning was the lie, and the lie was god and all things were made through the lie. Without the lie was not anything made that has been made. In the lie was the life of all religions and all that comes from religion. The lie extinguishes all light and nothing has overcome the lie. 2.) And it came to pass that the lie adorned itself in gorgeous robes to dwell in splendid edifices to stand as God and the lie commanded all to come and fall at its feet. Then the lie said "it is not good that man be left free to think and live as he pleases." Thus the lie allied itself with men of greed and their spirits hovered over the face of the deep to conquer and enslave. 3.) When the day came that there could be no more wrung from the souls of humanity, the lie begat another of its kind to bring ultimate destruction upon the face of the earth.
Alright, forgive me the parody, but it proves that anyone can write a holy book. However, the point is that a few centuries ago another bible-spawned group of vile religious fanatics decided to use their book of lies as the centerpiece of a disgusting, diabolical plan. Raising the banner of the persecuted (which has always been a sure recipe for success) they hatched a plot that centered on the recapture of a homeland that was the purported promise of a 4,000-year-old imaginary desert god. One of the most cruel parts of this plan was essentially a joke since these men had no more right to this desert god and his supposed promise than a monkey has to sit in the White House (well, perhaps that isn't a good analogy). Although the story has been amply related in publications as authoritative as The Jewish Encyclopedia and in Arthur Koestler's The Thirteenth Tribe, let's briefly review it here.
Back in the eighth century A.D. there was a very powerful kingdom in Eastern Europe called Khazaria (or Chazaria) composed of Aryan-Turks. When the king of this nation decided to convert to Talmudic Judaism, the whole of the nation was forced to go along. History remembers them as the ancestors of today's Ashkenazi Jews, even though they have no authentic "Jewish" genetics. After Khazaria fell to the forces of Genghis Khan, thousands of Ashkenazis fled to other parts of Eastern Europe, mostly Poland. In his book Arthur Koestler concludes: "The evidence presented in the previous chapters adds up to a strong case in favour of those modern historians—whether Austrian, Israeli or Polish—who, independently from each other, have argued that the bulk of modern Jewry is not of Palestinian, but of Caucasian origin. The mainstream of Jewish migrations did not flow from the Mediterranean across France and Germany to the east and then back again. The stream moved in a consistently westerly direction, from the Caucasus through the Ukraine into Poland and thence into Central Europe. When that unprecedented mass settlement in Poland came into being, there were simply not enough Jews around in the west to account for it, while in the east a whole nation was on the move to new frontiers." (The Thirteenth Tribe, pp. 179, 180)
To clarify Jewish racial identity, Koestler explains that: "The Jews of our times fall into two main divisions: Sephardim and Ashkenazim. The Sephardim are descendants of the Jews who since antiquity had lived in Spain (in Hebrew Sepharad) until they were expelled at the end of the fifteenth century and settled in the countries bordering the Mediterranean, the Balkans, and to a lesser extent in Western Europe. They spoke a Spanish-Hebrew dialect, Ladino, and preserved their own traditions and religious rites. In the 1960s, the number of Sephardim was estimated at 500,000. The Ashkenazim, at the same period, numbered about eleven million. Thus, in common parlance, Jew is practically synonymous with Ashkenazi Jew." (p. 181) (Koestler, an Ashkenazi Jew, was a very successful writer who published over twenty-five novels and essays. However, when his The Thirteenth Tribe was published, the resulting storm of protest from "Jewish" groups like the ADL was immediate. In 1983, with the controversy still raging, the bodies of Arthur Koestler and his wife were found in their London home. Despite evidence to the contrary, the London police ruled their deaths a double suicide.)
For the past hundred-plus years the richest men on earth have worked non-stop to fulfill their dream—their monster—which the world now knows as Zionism. Although to the uninitiated Zionism sounds like the pious religious dream of a persecuted people simply seeking their traditional homeland, for those having the presence of mind to look further they will find a most frightening spectacle: "Zionism" is but the code word for a New World Order whose sole purpose has nothing at all to do with Judaism, outside the fact that its founders have used the vilest parts of the Tanakh (the Old Testment) and the Talmud to justify their actions and win support from the relgiously ignorant. Bluntly speaking, Zionism is a scheme to enslave the entire world as beasts of burden to a handful of money masters who use the cloak of religion as their master plan. Certainly the conquest of the world is nothing new. The dream has been the mainstay of every tyrant and dictator since the time when some concerned nincompoop first poked his version of "history" into a clay tablet. The problem for you and me is that this time around these ultimate money masters have ALL THE NECESSARY TOOLS and have come VERY CLOSE to seeing their horrible dream to fruition!
So, where does bible prophecy come to play in all this? The most powerful nations on earth, which (one way or the other) sprang out of the old British Empire, happen to be Christian. The world's richest men needed the help of the world's most powerful men to see their dream of a New World Order into reality. It is the perfect alliance, except that the world's most powerful men need the allegiance of their God-fearing superstitious subjects if they are to successfully play their parts.
Let's get one thing straight. Those sitting at the top of the world pyramid are not religious people. Certainly they put on the necessary face of religious piety when needed, and very effectively since the bulk of the dumb sheeple have bought their act hook, line and sinker; but privately their face is exposed and thus those digging deep can see them for what they are. For instance most all the leaders of Israel have been acknowledged atheists, and judging by the lack of morals in the lives of most of our presidents, we can honestly say the same about our leaders. This is why presidents can talk about the "love of Christ" and then supply cluster bombs to the Israelis to drop on defenseless Lebanese Christian villages. This is why they can go to church on Sunday and order the assassinations of "enemies," or any of the other atrocities presidents are wont to commit. This is why a pious creepling like John Hagee can advise President Bush that Iran should be taken out with a full scale military assault.
"The coming nuclear showdown with Iran is a certainty, Israel and America must confront Iran's nuclear ability and willingness to destroy Israel with nuclear weapons. For Israel to wait is to risk committing national suicide." These words of Christian love and concern were penned by Hagee in the Pentecostal magazine Charisma, and should give even an ardent simpleton Christian the necessary insight to see through his facade—especially since Jesus Christ commanded his followers to do the opposite!
To show whose interest John Hagee serves, notice this tidbit from Max Blumenthal's article: "Despite his penchant for extreme rhetoric, or perhaps because of it, Hagee endeared himself to key members of the Israeli right. With the help of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who once spoke at a massive pro-Israel fundraiser at Cornerstone Church, Hagee has raised at least $8.5 million for Israeli social work projects. And as a result of Hagee's influence in the Lone Star State . . . Washington's Republican leadership is just a phone call away." Blumenthal goes on to tell how Hagee has succeeded in uniting America's largest and most influential Christian Zionist churches—a list that includes the notorious Rev. Jerry Falwell. "Hagee says he would like to see CUFI become 'the Christian version of AIPAC,' referring to the vaunted pro-Israel group rated second only to the National Rifle Association as the most effective lobby in Washington."
Another clue to the inner-workings of the Christian-Zionist beddy-bye-partnership, is the man John Hagee chose to promote his new confederation, who also happens to be Jewish. The aforementioned David Brog, a lawyer and former Republican Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter's chief of staff, has intricate connections in Republican Washington, which explains why Hagee and company could find their way into the White House by just knocking. "I think while there are some differences between us as far as our religious views," Brog told [Blumenthal] about Hagee, "what matters more, and what is of much deeper significance, is everything that we share. We share a love for Israel and a love for America." Notice that Brog places the "love" of America behind the "love" for Israel! "And we share an understanding of the war on radical Islamic terror, and that makes us brothers."
So, how do the preaching pious convince the trusting that it is their duty to support Israel, no matter the cost? They quote the bible to "prove" their rhetoric, such as these out-of-context-quotes from Hagee's web site (to which I will add a few comments):
"Everything Christians do should be based upon the Biblical text. What a laugh! If John Hagee honestly followed every word of the bible, he'd be out of business overnight! Here are seven solid Bible reasons why Christians should support Israel.
Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed." Point: God has promised to bless the man or nation that blesses the Chosen People. History has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the nations that have blessed the Jewish people have had the blessing of God; the nations that have cursed the Jewish people have experienced the curse of God. This is either a calculated bold lie, or it displays Hagee's complete ignorance of history!
St. Paul recorded in Romans 15:27 "For if the Gentiles have shared in their (the Jews) spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things."
Christians owe a debt of eternal gratitude to the Jewish people for their contributions that gave birth to the Christian faith. Hellfire! I thought Christians owed an eternal debt of gratitude to God, not man! I mean, doesn't John 3:16 say something about God so loving the world that he gave his only begotten son so that anyone believing on him should not perish but having eternal life? That scripture doesn't say a frigging word about the Jews!
Jesus Christ, a prominent Rabbi from Nazareth said, "Salvation is of the Jews!" (St. John 4:22) If "salvation is of the Jews, then what in the hell do Christians need with Jesus?! For anyone interested, this is one of those contradictory scriptures that clearly shows the bible for the mess that it is! Consider what the Jewish people have given to Christianity:
a) The Sacred Scripture
b) The Prophets
c) The Patriarchs
d) Mary, Joseph, and Jesus Christ of Nazareth
e) The Twelve Disciples
f) The Apostles
They also denied their supposed messiah and nailed him to a damned cross. And (if you can trust the history of Josephus and others) they also sought out the early Christians and murdered them by the bushel load!
It is not possible to say, "I am a Christian" and not love the Jewish people. Hey, dummy, it's also "not possible" to profess Christianity and not love Hamas and Hezbollah—and neither of those groups murdered your lord and savior! Now come on Hagee, why do you ignore all those NT scriptures that condemn the Jews as hypocrites, frauds and liars? Why do you do this when your NT makes it clear that Jesus will one day slay all Jews who do not bow to him as God, which he does in Luke 19: "But those of mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them!" In fact, Hagee, if you want to know the fate of your Jewish brothers-in-arms, the next time you're in Israel at one of their honorary banquets, why not ask them all to take a pledge to love and worship Jesus Christ as their lord and savior?
The Bible teaches that love is not what you say, but what you do. (1 John 3:18) "A bell is not a bell until you ring it, a song is not a song until you sing it, love is not love until you share it." The bible also says that if you love God, you will keep his commandments. You Hagee DO NOT KEEP THE ONE COMMANDMENT THAT IDENTIFIES A TRUE SERVANT OF GOD, AND THAT IS HIS HOLY "JEWISH" SABBATH DAY! By keeping the ancient pagan day of the sun as a false sabbath, your fruits show you to be nothing more than a pious humbug!
While some Christians try to deny the connection between Jesus of Nazareth and the Jews of the world, Jesus never denied his Jewishness. He was born Jewish, He was circumcised on the eighth day in keeping with Jewish tradition, He had his Bar Mitzvah on his 13th birthday, He kept the law of Moses, He wore the Prayer Shawl Moses commanded all Jewish men to wear, He died on a cross with an inscription over His head, "King of the Jews!" You mean murdered when he was nailed on that cross by those same Jews!
Jesus considered the Jewish people His family. Jesus said (Matthew 25:40) "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren (the Jewish people . . . Gentiles were never called His brethren), ye have done it unto me." Listen Hagee, why not preach what your New Testament actually teaches? Why not tell your people that Jesus condemns what the modern state of Israel is doing to the Palestinians. An honest preacher would be blasting the Israelis with Matthew 5:38: "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. . . . Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. This scripture alone condemns the Jews as not being children of the Father in heaven!
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee." (Psalm 122:6) the scriptural principle of prosperity is tied to blessing Israel and the city of Jerusalem. Again Hagee, what a hypocrite you are. In this supposed end time does not your New Testament teach that God will bring his wrath upon Jerusalem for the great sins of the people? Is not your god preparing to rain down utter destruction on his "holy city" and its inhabitants? Damned right your bible teaches this; so why teach people to pray for peace when your god is preparing to do just the opposite?
Why did Jesus Christ go to the house of Cornelius in Capernaum and heal his servant, which was ready to die? What logic did the Jewish elders use with Jesus to convince Him to come into the house of a Gentile and perform a miracle?
The logic they used is recorded in Luke 7:5; "For He loveth our nation, and He hath built us a synagogue." The message? This Gentile deserves the blessing of God because he loves our nation and has done something practical to bless the Jewish people. I see Hagee, so your god's favors are for sale? I tell you what, Americans have poured more money into Israel than any other dozen countries combined, and what "blessings" has it gotten us? Answer: Not a damned thing! In fact, it has gotten us hated to the point that we are under siege, just like Israel is today. So where in the hell is a "blessing" to be found in that?!
Why did God the Father select the house of Cornelius in Caesarea (Acts Chapter 10) to be the first Gentile house in Israel to receive the Gospel? The answer is given repeatedly in Acts 10.
Acts 10:2 "a devout man, (Cornelius) and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always." Who were the people to whom Cornelius gave these alms? They were the Jews! Again is Acts 10:4 ". . . thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God." Again in Acts 10:31 ". . . and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God." The point is made three times in the same chapter. A godly Gentile who expressed his unconditional love for the Jewish people in a practical manner was divinely selected by heaven to be the first Gentile house to receive the Gospel and the first to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
These combined Scriptures verify that PROSPERITY (Genesis 12:3 and Psalm 122:6), HEALING (Luke 7:1-5) and the OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT came first to Gentiles that blessed the Jewish people and the nation of Israel in a practical manner. Okay Hagee, if you really believe all this ballyhoo, then why is it that you don't follow the ENTIRETY OF THE BIBLE? Your bible (Luke 4:4) commands you to live by EVERY WORD OF GOD and I can point out to you and all your ilk countless examples where you BLATANTLY BREAK YOUR GOD'S COMMANDS! Could it be that you ignore your god's commands and seized upon a personally profitable association with Zionism, which certainly has enriched you and all like you? If so, you had better pray that good old Jesus isn't the god he's painted to be or else when you stand before him in the judgement he's going to tell you and your Zionist friends what he says in Matthew 7:21-23: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Now Hagee, in case you've forgotten, the place Jesus will send you and those like you will be that galactic hell-hole he threatens in the book of Revelation!
We support Israel because all other nations were created by an act of men, but Israel was created by an act of God! Listen Hagee, you cannot even prove your god created a northern hairy-nosed wombat, let alone the nation of ancient Israel! The Royal Land Grant that was given to Abraham and his seed through Isaac and Jacob with an everlasting and unconditional covenant. Hagee boasts that his Israeli/Zionist agenda is carried on "160 t.v. stations, 50 radio stations and eight networks and can be seen weekly in 99 million homes" throughout America. This is why American Christian fundamentalists can be so easily duped into blessing everything Zionist do, no matter how vile or how much it goes against the precepts of their faith! Although it would take a 500-page book to adequately explain the intricate "Christian" involvement with the New World Order, and another equally long book to explore the history of the related government conspiracies, the bottom line is that men have used the cloak of Judaism and Christianity to bring about plans for a worldwide conquest. This is why Jerusalem was chosen as the center operations and why "bible prophecy" seems to be unfolding in this "end time." In this way loud-mouthed pulpit-pounders like Hagee, Falwell and their Zionist cohorts can push the prophecy button and frighten ignorant Christians into sending in their millions to keep the Zionist monster well fed and steaming full tilt towards the ultimate countdown!
Now come on folks. Think about it for a minute: When in the long, bloody Christian history has any Christian leader ever practiced Christian "love" for any life form? At what time did any "Christian" leader ever hesitate to murder entire nations for the benefit of their agenda? The answer is never—and that includes "great" presidents like Washington, Lincoln, Wilson, FDR and that current banana-eating leader of "freedom and democracy" now chirping about the White House!
Make no mistake: Judeo-Christianity, the great lie and the father of lies, has been the enemies of humanity since its inception, and today, as a partnership of mutual benefit, the lie stand poised to bring ultimate disaster down on the world. When I hear and/or read the murderous threats and sentiments of supposedly loving Christian Zionist ministers, it sends chills down to my toenails—not because of what these moral bastards are saying, but because of the reaction of those listening. Blumenthal gives one such example when he reports about the recent CUFI banquet on July 18th where Washington's elite stuffed their faces and basked in the warm glow of their Israeli hosts. Blumenthal writes: "Though CUFI's banquet was planned months in advance, its timing could not have been more opportune, staged as Israel and Hezbollah exchanged their first salvos over Lebanon's southern border. While international diplomats were ratcheting up pressure on the United States to administer a cease-fire, Falwell used his speech at the banquet to issue a stern warning to the White House. 'I will rebuke the State Department for any and every time it told Israel to stand down and show restraint,' he boomed, sending gales of applause rippling through the packed crowd."
Can't people see the unabashed hypocrisy in that statement? Falwell, that pious, windbag "minister of the Lord" is telling us how pissed off he gets when Georgie Bush et al asks the Israeli army to ease up a bit on its slaughter of Lebanese women and children—all to the rapturous applause of the banquet's Christian and Jewish face-stuffers. Indeed, Blumenthal goes on to report that the day following the banquet saw thousands of CUFI banquet attendees fanning out to Congressional offices to pressure lawmakers so that they wouldn't wavier in their support of Israel's bloody invasion of Lebanon. "Coincidentally" this effort was followed by a House resolution supporting Israel in Lebanese massacre. So, when you search out some of those suppressed photos of horribly burned Lebanese children left in the aftermath of American bombs, you can thank men like the good Reverend Jerry Falwell and Dr. John Hagee! (The "doctor" part is an honorary degree from Oral Roberts University, which is not unlike Donald Duck bestowing a Ph.D. on Daffy Duck . . . much more telling, Hagee also has a recently-awarded honorary degree from Netanya Academic College in Israel.)
Okay, let's forget old Jerry F. and John-boy Hagee for now. The real issue is the dumb-ass Christians who place their faith in spiritual liars and cheats, for they are the ones (knowing not what they doeth) who are bringing about a true Armageddon to this earth. It's these people who do every earthly thing imaginable to support Israel in hopes of hastening the day of Christ's much-hyped return. An example of this fanaticism is an evangelical radio host named Janet Parshall, who became "ecstatic" when Israel invaded Lebanon. Max Blumenthal quotes: "'These are the times we've been waiting for,' Parshall told her listeners in a voice brimming with joy on July 21. 'This is straight out of a Sunday school lesson.'"
With no due respect to Ms. Parshall and her abysmal ignorance of the bible and history (not to mention her blatant hypocrisy), the only Sunday school lesson I see from the 60-year-old mess in Palestine is that the 2,000-year-late Jesus Christ is never coming back and men have filled the void to their profit and our detriment. I also see that Parshall and her Christian pals are being duped to bring about something that no sane person would ever want to contemplate, let alone aid and abet. Pray to God, Allah, Vishnu, Buddha, Colonel Sanders or whatever floats your boat that all those "good" Chrisitans fail in their endeavors!

Having grown up in "The Church" as many visitors of this site have, for many years I had affection for the Jewish people and their religion. The Worldwide Church of God, for those of you who are not familiar with that cult, taught that Israel consisted of twelve tribes and the descendants of the "Lost Ten Tribes" were to be found in Europe and America. The other two tribes were Judah and Levi—the descendants of which are the present Jewish people. To me, and hundreds of thousands of other members of "The Church", the Jewish people were our brothers and sisters. I was emotionally moved when Herbert W. Armstrong visited Jerusalem and the Mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollak, met him personally and they became friends. According to HWA, Teddy dedicated a park to him and named it the Herbert W. Armstrong Park. It was like we weren't Gentiles at all (except for the Latinos, Asians and Blacks in the congregation). We were the "Chosen People" all along!
One year at Halloween, my parents decided that we wouldn't try to hide out in our house with the lights down real low so that trick-or-treaters wouldn't bother us. We went to the movies instead. They took us to see Fiddler on the Roof. I absolutely loved the film (and still do). I loved the music and shed more than a few tears when the horrible Russian Cossacks rampaged Anitevka and tore up Tzeitel's featherbed and pillows at her wedding celebration. I mourned with the villagers when they were forced to leave their village and go to America. My identification with the Jews grew stronger.
When I was older, I read books about the holocaust along with books about persecutions of Christians such as Foxe's Book of Martyrs. WCG pounded into our heads the "fact" that "God's Chosen" (us and the Jews) are always persecuted by the Gentiles such as the Germans, the Japanese, and the Russians. I took German for two years mainly because the WCG preached that the Horrible Nazis of Germany would rise again and I believed them. I reasoned that if I could speak their language I might be able to escape the concentration camps and certain death. I read and believed the stories about Anne Frank, The Nazis tearing out gold teeth from the living, the rounding up of old men, women and children, who were too frail to slave in their camps, and force them into gas chambers where they died by the millions. I believed in the Ovens; I believed the stories of lampshades being made from Jewish skin, and soap made from boiled down Jewish fat. I believed the movies as though they were actual footage. I was pro-Israeli to the point that, after I had proven to myself that the "New" Testament was false and Jesus was a figment of the imagination, I seriously considered converting to Judaism. The reluctance of the local Temple to entertain my desire and my ongoing studies into Judaism and the Bible in general changed my mind. I finally came to the reasoned opinion that the "Bible" is the flawed and quite fallible word of Man. It was not an easy step to take to abandon a lifetime of beliefs. There were many times that I wished so much to believe in Jehovah and Jesus, if not for the comfort inherent in the belief that a divine being of infinite love actually existed, but for the acceptance of many of my family members who still remain in WCG, its offshoots, or normal Protestant churches. Despite my final and total disconnection from even the tiniest belief in Biblianity, I still retained an affection for the Jewish people because of their apparent struggles down through history and the relentless persecution they had reportedly suffered.
I've painted this background in order to put what I am about to say in perspective. I will not accept any accusation against be of being anti-Semitic (aside from the fact that most Jews are not Semites) because I have nothing against Jewish people. The vast majority of them are good, loving, productive members of society who wish no one any harm. But the few Jews who own tremendous amounts of wealth and wield the real power in the world are such a danger to our planet right now that we can no longer ignore them.
The whole planet is now focused on a tiny strip of land between Egypt and Saudi Arabia roughly the size of Costa Rica. They are battling over land hardly worth spitting on. It makes no sense unless you believe in Christianity or Judaism or Islam. For some weird reason, this dusty, ugly Godforsaken land is the object of supreme lust for these people as if they had been hypnotized into believing that the turd they're holding is really a sparkling diamond. What matters is that they DO believe it and their beliefs are deadly to them and to the rest of us. In contrast, Lebanon really is a beautiful country and has resources that I'm certain Israel would love to seize. To reach this goal they could not merely go on a bombing spree without laying the groundwork first. We were all going about our lives and minding our own business when suddenly all over the news outlets on television, radio, newspapers and the Internet, the Whole WORLD was informed incessantly about the two Israeli soldiers who were kidnapped by Hezbollah. The terrorist Lebanese sneaked over the border into northern Israel, so we were told, and kidnapped these poor, innocent defenders of the Holy Land.
Why are these two Israeli soldier-boys made so much of in American media? Practically every day a hundred more Iraqi citizens are killed in explosions, most of them innocent bystanders, women and men trying to find enough food and water to keep their families alive, or going about their business peaceably, and they are blown to bloody pieces. Their families grieve for them as I write, just as you would do had it been your loved one. Tomorrow we will not hear of them, nor ever again. Somewhere today in Iraq, American soldiers have been killed or wounded. We will probably get a brief report by a cute Blonde who will then smile radiantly and introduce the weather report. Tomorrow they will have been forgotten by the news media, by our government, the Veterans Administration, and America itself. But tomorrow we will hear of the two Israeli soldier-boys, by god, for they are the reason for the new war. And we will hear of them the next day, and the next. Should their memory fade, new ones will take their place so that the genocide against the inhabitants of the Middle East may continue.
In fact, it is beginning to look like the situation is hopeless. It looks hopeless mainly because it takes a tremendous amount of study and concentration to begin to see the whole picture. Imagine that you are standing on a huge chess board and you are one of the pawns. You can only see what's moving in the eight squares around you, not what's happening on the other side of the board. You must step back from the board and look at it from an OBJECTIVE viewpoint if you want to see the strategy being worked out by the Grand Chess Masters. This ultimate chess game has been in play for many, many years—perhaps millennia.
Israel has made a brilliant move. It was a brilliant move because they led us to believe that it was made by Hezbollah. The move was the kidnapping of the two Israeli boys by Hezbollah. Now, I always thought that "kidnapping" meant the unlawful seizure of an individual, usually for ransom—not the capture of enemy soldiers in a skirmish. That terminology at its face is propaganda. The big lie (the feint) was that it was a kidnapping. The fact is that the Israeli soldiers had crossed into southern Lebanon and were CAPTURED as the enemy that they are. If you want to get the truth of a story (or as close as you can get to the truth) listen to or read the first day's reporting on the event. After that the reporting gets homogenized and the journalists are all conforming to orders from above—which is ultimately one source, the tip of the pyramid. The initial reports were that the soldiers were taken in Lebanon. Well, that's not a good enough excuse to launch a full scale war on an entire country, so they had to change the story to better fit the next move which was what they had intended all along. Destroy Lebanon. Remember, a really good chess player figures out long strings of moves and even whole games before they begin to play. That is what is called an "elegant" game.
Well, what we are watching in the Middle East right now is an Elegant Game. The problem is that most people are watching it from WITHIN the board. There are many things that keep a person "on board" but the most effective one is religion. Religion literally means "to re-bind". Every time one begins to come to his senses there's Religion to bind him down again and get him back "into the fold" just the way a cowboy ropes a calf and binds him. It works the same way in every religion. It is designed to control you and to limit your awareness. It keeps you focused on dogma, not on reality or common sense (not to mention common decency). The religions of Christianity and Islam are perfect for Israel's plans. In Islam, they have a perfect scapegoat for everything. I remember seeing, on the evening of September 11, 2001, the alphabet channels airing a clip of Palestinians dancing in the streets, throwing candy in the air, laughing and embracing. "This was the scene in Palestine today," intoned the anchor man, carefully cultivating a neutral tone but his voice was full of solemn disappointment. The effect was immediate. All I heard the next day at work was how those horrible inhuman Arabs were dancing in celebration of our dead. Of course, a couple days later it was shown to be an old clip of Palestinians celebrating a wedding or something, but the damage had been done. Another elegant move. I remember a fury of emails going around the office: sarcastic songs about the Taliban set to Harry Belafonte's Banana Song, "funny" cartoons about cave-dwelling terrorists, cruel jokes about "Rag Heads", and the incessant patriotic emails festooned with flags, eagles, stars, images of horror and grief at Ground Zero, etc., etc. The brainwashing was nearly complete and by the end of the week it definitely was complete.
I was on a message board the other day, posting about the horrible events in Lebanon and how those people were suffering terrible deaths through no fault of their own. Another poster wrote "They were harboring terrorists so they deserved to die." What a mindless, heartless, soulless thing to say, and how irrational. What if he was living in southern Arizona and some Minutemen "kidnapped" a few Mexicans as they crossed over into our territory, and what if those Minutemen decided to hold them hostage as a bargaining chip? What if Mexico bombed Tucson and Phoenix to the ground and strafed ambulances, with huge red crosses painted on their roofs, as they were carrying the wounded to safety? What if they dropped incendiaries on people trying to rescue their loved ones and neighbors from the rubble? I supposed the people of Arizona would have deserved their fate as well? Oh, but that's different because the people of Arizona are mostly Christians unlike the filthy rag-head Arabs in Lebanon, and everyone knows how EVERY SINGLE ONE of those Lebanese would kill EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US if they only had the chance!
Well, aside from the fact that Arabs are by-and-large peaceful and peace-loving people who just want to be left alone, guess what? Thirty percent—THIRTY PERCENT—of the Lebanese people are CHRISTIANS!!! Let's let that sink in real good, now. (Of course, if the Lebanese Christians are as tolerant and loving as those in America, we well may have cause for concern.)
Now the United Nations and countries all around the world are crying out for a cease-fire, but Ms. Rice and our Illustrious Commander in Chief do not think it's the "right time" for the killing to stop. This isn't anything new. I recall our past Secretary of State Madeline Albright's comment during a CBS Sixty Minutes interview in 1996. Leslie Stahl said: "We have heard that a half million children have died [as a result of sanctions against Iraq]. I mean, that is more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?" The telling answer by Albright: "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price—we think the price is worth it." By the way, and this is very important, Madeline Albright is Jewish and not an American one, either. She was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia and just recently "found out" that she was Jewish. (This brings to mind John Kerry's sudden realization that he is part Jewish, which isn't a bad thing, but why make so much of it? What if he said, "you know, I just found out that my great-grandmother was Italian." It wouldn't have made the six o'clock news, now would it). At any rate, killing means nothing to Zionists, whether they're Jewish, Christian or Atheist. It's a means to a goal. The goal of Jewish Zionists is very different than the Christian one. The Jewish Zionists wish to rule the world under their Moshiach. The Christian Zionists want to rule the world under their Messiah. Oh, I guess there is no difference, after all. Except that in the Christian version everyone will be Christian after their Messiah comes, and in the Jewish version all the people in the world will be Jews... or dead.
There was a story today about a minister of a congregation in a St. Paul, MN suburb. Gregory Boyd led a congregation of 5,000 until his stance on politics lost him 1,000 of his sheep. It seems that he was asked over and over again to endorse conservative political candidates and causes from the pulpit and to back President Bush. Members asked if he would please announce a rally against gay marriage during services, introduce a politician from the pulpit, allow members to set up a table in the lobby promoting their anti-abortion work, and requested that the church hang an American flag in the sanctuary since the country is at war. Boyd got fed up and preached a series of sermons on such subjects as: steering clear of politics, giving up sexual moralizing, stop claiming the United States is a "Christian Nation", and stop glorifying the American military. "America wasn't founded as a theocracy," Boyd said. "America was founded by people trying to escape theocracies. Never in history have we had a Christian theocracy where it wasn't bloody and barbaric. That's why our Constitution wisely put in a separation of church and state." It's refreshing to hear that out of a Christian these days and good to see that 4,000 of his membership aren't lock-step with the Bush administration. One member made the sad statement that "Most of my friends are believers, and they think if you're a believer, you'll vote for Bush. And it's scary to go against that." Actually, it's scary to go against that even if you are NOT a believer. I hope that there are more Christian ministers like this in America but we'll probably never know. It was by chance that I saw this story because by the time I went back to reread it, it had been taken down and I had to really search hard to find it again. Just remember this, folks, if it ain't propaganda, it ain't news for more than an hour.
No, the vast majority of stories about Christian ministers show how very staunchly they back "The Decider" in his mad rush towards worldwide destruction. After all, we have to have Armageddon before Jesus can come back, don't we? We've got to have TOTAL WORLD WAR before we can be raptured up—right? And, oh yes, Israel must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem before we can have "the New Jerusalem", mustn't they? So we've got to prop up Israel so Jesus can come back. I can hear the strains of that old hymn, "Onward Christian Soldiers, Marching as to war..." One thing: it's "Marching AS to war", not "Marching TO war." But I guess people have forgotten that, conveniently, now that we need them fighting and dying over in the Middle East for Israel.
You'll notice that I haven't had a lot to say about Islam (and there isn't much good to talk about). That is because Islam is not much of a problem in America, but those of you who are Muslim, I'm talking to and about you as well. Islam is another religion (re-binder) to keep you obedient, irrational and unthinking. It is just as brutal as Judaism and Christianity, except that Christianity has had a six hundred year jump on Islam, and Judaism has had considerably longer jump, and both of them have developed really good PR. But look back a few hundred years and you'll understand that Christians didn't treat others very nicely. You weren't very safe if you were a woman in Europe during the Inquisition. Whole villages were without females because they'd all been burned at the stake for "witchcraft". So, it isn't the type of religion that makes it bad—it IS religion!
Mainstream Christianity indoctrinates us to believe that Israel is the Great Friend of America. This is because Americans liberated the Jews from the camps and because we supported their fledgling State. Oh, and also because we give them billions of dollars each year and because our media NEVER seriously questions a single thing they do or say. But ask yourself one question: What has Israel done for America lately? (Or ever?) Are you asking yourself that, or has Religion come along and, by hook or by CROOK, dragged you back into your pen with your little plastic made-in-China American Flag and your Gideon Bible.
Finally, I've nothing whatsoever against an individual wanting to make spiritual sense of their lives but I firmly think that such endeavors should be undertaken on an individual basis, and kept private. Just keep it to yourself and don't try to impose it on your children, your neighbors, your co-workers and the rest of the planet. Stop traveling to Africa or Indonesia to introduce them to Jesus or Mohammed or Buddha or whoever else the hell you worship. If Jesus or Mohammed or Buddha or G-d himself really needed and wanted people to worship them, then by God let them go to Africa or Indonesia themselves. It's none of your business and it's rude and arrogant to boot! Religion, and its bastard son Politics, must eventually go the way of the dinosaurs, sooner rather than later, or this planet is doomed to another Stone Age—if we survive at all.
Thanks to everyone who bothered to answer my question that formed last month's personal. I only posted a sampling, since the majority honestly answered that they had no idea what happens at death and would just have to wait and see. Of course, I got the usual warnings from Christians that the bible contained the answer to eternal life, with several issuing the tiresome warning that I was headed to everlasting hell fire if I didn't heed the Lord's word. I'm use to that warning, but why is it that such people seem to always request that their e-mails not be posted on the site? If they are so damned sure of their beliefs, why do they shrink in fear from having others read their thoughts?
Speaking of hypocrites, did you read where the Episcopal Church in America has ordained a woman to lead it? Now personally I don't care if the bishops ordain a cross-eyed aardvark to lead them in their idiocy; what I do bristle at is the blatant hypocrisy. Since Henry VIII's adulterous sexual lust laid the foundations of the Episcopal Church back in the sixteenth century, their bishops have been ramming a bible that clearly teaches women are second class citizens—that specifically teaches women are to keep silent in church. Now, with a full frontal spit in the eye of all intelligent people, Nevada Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori has been elected to lead this band of sanctimonious in hypocrites preaching the "Word of God"—proving what I've known for some time, which is that when it comes to Christianity women are as big of hypocrites as men!
Ms. Bishop Schori's election came as no surprise since just three years ago the same "august" body, women clergy and all, gave the "Word of God" the old boot in the butt when they elected the openly gay V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire as a bishop, Ms. Bishop Schori being one of his enthusiastic supporters.
Okay, let's forget the Episcopal bishops; my beef isn't with them anyway. It's with today's crop of Christians who have again proven themselves as dumb as last year's dried-up horse droppings. Hey, all ye good stout-hearted Christians, it seems that a little tap dancing around scripture wrapped with a liberal dose of the "Lord's love" is all that is needed these days to sell you on almost anything. But do you want to know your real problem? Well, whether you do or not, I'm going to tell you: For the past 2,000 years people have had the hell scared out of them by the "Word of God," and even though there be something inside us all that whispers that there is no logic, rhyme or reason in the damned thing, we have this superstitious fear that forces us to cling to some portion of the bible—like a drowning rat clinging to side of a sinking ship—and that's what people like the good Ms. Bishop count on to sell their wares, and why I get letters from ignorant frightened Christians who have not bothered to read my web page, but still send me "final warnings" about my soul roasting in hell.
The bottom line is that while a bunch of grown men run around in purple dresses proving to the world that they are not sexists by electing a Ms. Bishop to head their church, Christianity's real agenda slips by virtually unnoticed.
The leadership of virtually all mainstream Christian churches is laboring ceaselessly for the coming new world order, and using all their resources to make this damnable monster a reality. I had this point driven home just yesterday by a three-year-old article from The Washington Times that Lawrence Anthony found and sent over. Titled "Zionist meeting brands 'road map' as heresy"writer Julia Duin reported that a Washington conference of Christian and Jewish Zionists back in May 2003 "heard attacks on the U.S. 'road map' for peace in the Middle East as a breach of a 4,000-year-old covenant between God and Israel."
"'The land of Israel was originally owned by God,' said Gary Bauer, president of American Values and a Republican presidential contender in 2000. 'Since He [God] was the owner, only He could give it away. And He gave it to the Jewish people.' 'Terrorists', he said, 'don't understand why Israel and the United States are joined at the heart.'" Well maybe the "terrorist" don't understand, but I do—and the reason is not what Christians fundamentalist like Gary Bauer think.
The reason for all the mayhem, death and destruction in the Middle East has nothing at all to do with "God" and a supposed 4,000-year-old covenant, although that excuse is given the widest possible publicity. It has to do with political agenda called Zionism, which uses the "Holy Bible" as a blueprint to fully exploit the bleating mass herd of Christian fundamentalists and trusting Jewish faithful. This is proven by things like this reported conference, which was called the "Interfaith Zionist Leadership Summit" and included some 1,000 attendees who discussed how "evangelical Christians could best unite with Jews to support Israel."
What I found most revealing part of the article was that the funding for this conference was underwritten by a $100,000 grant from Zionist House, a Boston-based Jewish group. You can safely bet your grandmother's old paisley shawl that if one traced the source of Zionist House's funding that it would eventually lead to the State of Israel, who routinely funnels truckloads of cash into American causes that sells the absurd concept of loving, benevolent Zionism around the Western world. This especially includes money to line the pockets of U.S. politicians. If you doubt me on this, then I suggest you buy and read former U.S. Congressman Paul Findley's book They Dare to Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel's Lobby.
Findley, whose career was ruined by daring to speak out against the Zionist agenda in the United States, exposes with a mountain of evidence the underhanded, backroom dealings of some of the worst criminals ever known, how they virtually control U.S. politics and routinely destroy anyone who fails to play ball—with all the evidence leading directly to Zionist Israel and the traitors in this nation who seek to make their dreams of world conquest a menacing reality.
It's not my purpose to write again on something that I've covered so many times before. I simply ask my readers not to be caught napping at this crucial time in world history—while our beloved leader is again rattling his sabre at yet another Middle Eastern nation. What I want to impress is that the pieces are all in place for a world-wide collapse and the establishment of the promised New World Order.
Just remember that it's not for nothing that Christians sing that old hymn, Onward Christian Soldiers marching as to WAR with the cross of Jesus, going on before!

Is it, as many believe, only in the body.....or does there exist an Akashic Record, as professed by many, including the Gnostics. Are we on our own, or part of a larger picture that is yet to be painted. Are Akasha individuals, those who have somehow perceived beyond the limits of three dimensions?

Akasha being one of the cosmic principles and a plastic matter, creative in its physical nature, immutable in its higher principles. It is the quintessence of all possible forms of energy, material, psychic, or spiritual; and contains within itself the germs of universal creation, which sprout forth under the impulse of the Originator.
Life after death must therefore fall within the real of speculation, since it cannot be proven conclusively one way or the other. Logic and commonsense do not aid the seeker , except to ponder.
Now we come to the old bugaboo, "Faith."
Faith in what.....a concept, a person, an ideology... To a degree all humankind possesses faith of one kind or another...Sometimes based on "fact" (the turning of a light switch) Sometimes based on "gut" instinct,or other stimuli.
In essence i suspect we shall not know the answer until & if we pass into another realm. If we are aware of who and what we were previously, our question will be answered. If we cease to exist on all planes..It won't really matter for we will not be conscious of it.
The query Shall One Live Again, seemingly cannot and will not be answered conclusively on this plane.

I concur with that assesment. I don't know for certain if another world exists, and if it does what it is like. To the best of my knowledge no one knows for certain. Heaven was obviously invented to comfort weak commoners who fear death. I would advise living this life as if it is all we have. Assuming there were another world, I think its a mistake to assume this is a positive thing, it might be just as miserable as this one...

I think it is all too easy to fall back on the bible and believe in heaven and hell. I suppose there is some comfort in that. The problem is that believing something that can be proven as a lie won't make it so—even if billions believe thereon. Finding, exposing and facing up to lies is the first step to truth; then comes that wonderful clearing of the mind after which one has the freedom to explore and contemplate such deep things as if a "man" dies, shall he live again.

We all feel utterly constrained in our bodies and upon our planet. We yearn to fly free of our chains, but not from our feelings, emotions, sensations. And, too, we are not our bodies. We are distinct from the flesh. We perceive ourselves as outside our bodies, hovering about the head and shoulders, but not inside our body. Our consciousness is not confined to materiality but is ethereal, eternal. It's natural, then, for me to think that our natural home is in the spiritual realms. I'm not speaking of Heaven, because I don't believe in such a thing as that. I believe that once "we have shuffled off this mortal coil" we will be really free to create another theater of expression, or just to drift and rest for a time.
I personally have recollections of earlier times, experiences on this earth as a different person. Whether these are real or, as some have supposed, racial memories passed on by the DNA, I cannot prove for or against, but they give me hope for continued existence after physical death.

I'm only sorry that you have decided to ignore what is so easily proven and are teaching others to follow you into everlasting destruction. One day you and your deluded followers will find out that there is life after death but it won't be very pleasant where you are going!

Darrell, what a hard question to answer. I know that there is something out there, but can I prove it? No. All I know for sure is that I have proven that the bible is a fraud and I've gone through about every holy book around looking for alternative answers. In the end I think it comes down to each individual. Perhaps each of us is creating his or her own afterlife while we live out our earthly existence.

It took 28 chapters for Job to really acknowledge God 42:5-6—I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye see thee. Wherefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes. From Seattle to Montana, then over and down to Chicago; through Indiana to Kentucky, then back to Chicago, then out to Salt Lake City and back here; I have finally returned to Washington. Visiting some very prestigious institutions and libraries, all-in-all it was a very profitable trip since I was able to discover some much-needed material for future projects. There was only one downside to the whole trip.
While on my travels I had the exceeding annoyance of listening to, reading about, and watching on television the so-called "immigrants rights protests" across this nation. As someone whose first ancestors came to this country in the early 1600s, and who then went on to fight and die in countless battles and wars, disease and famines; who built with blood, sweat and tears every precious inch of this country into the great nation that it once was (yes, once was); I was GREATLY INSULTED by the bellowing herd of invaders I watched on so-called news programs waving that damned red, white and green Mexican rag around our streets and demanding "their rights" to take from me and mine our inheritance! I was even more insulted, angered and ready for a fight when I saw our nation's politicians with beaming smiles across their traitorous faces, standing arm-in-arm with these invaders!
I won't get into the obvious conspiracy of the major television networks, newspapers and news magazines to support with glowing terms and reports these illegal invaders and the agenda of whatever foreign power is backing their now openly-declared war on the United States. There are already numerous web sites doing that. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that we've allowed a Trojan horse inside the walls of our country—which was damned easy since virtually every president has left our southern borders to the mercy of any and all invaders. (This especially includes George W. Bush, in spite of 9/11.) So, big surprise that we've finally been invaded, and that the invaders have increased their numbers to the point that they are marching in our streets and threatening all legally-born Americans if we don't surrender what's left of our rights to them!
What is virtually unknown to most Americans is that this confrontation has been a long time in coming. The nation's television screens many days recently have been filled with scenes of huge crowds carrying the colorful green and red flag of Mexico viewers could well have thought it was a national holiday in Mexico City.
It was instead, downtown Los Angeles, Calif., although the scene was recreated in numerous other cities around the country with substantial Mexican populations. Hordes of Mexican expatriates, many here illegally, were protesting the very U.S. immigration laws they were violating with impunity. They found it offensive and a violation of their rights that the U.S. dared to have immigration laws to begin with.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa mounted the podium, but any hopes that he would quiet the crowds and defend the law were soon dashed. Villaraigosa, himself, has spent a lifetime opposing U.S. immigration law.
For law-abiding Americans without knowledge of the dark side of our current illegal immigration crisis, all this is unfathomable. For those who know the truth about the "La Raza" movement, these demonstrations were a prophecy fulfilled.
It is past time for all Americans to know what is at the root of this outrageous behavior, and the extent to which the nation is at risk because of "La Raza"—The Race.
There are many immigrant groups joined in the overall "La Raza" movement. The most prominent and mainstream organization is the National Council de La Raza—the Council of "The Race".
To most of the mainstream media, most members of Congress, and even many of their own members, the National Council of La Raza is no more than a Hispanic Rotary Club.
But the National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions.
The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in earmarked taxpayer money, supposedly for "housing reform," while La Raza continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.

Radical 'Reconquista' Agenda
Behind the respectable front of the National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza movement, the agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding concessions.
Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.
One of America's greatest strengths has always been taking in immigrants from cultures around the world, and assimilating them into our country as Americans. By being citizens of the U.S. we are Americans first, and only, in our national loyalties.
This is totally opposed by MEChA for the hordes of illegal immigrants pouring across our borders, to whom they say:
"Chicano is our identity; it defines who we are as people. It rejects the notion that we...should assimilate into the Anglo-American melting pot...Aztlan was the legendary homeland of the Aztecas ... It became synonymous with the vast territories of the Southwest, brutally stolen from a Mexican people marginalized and betrayed by the hostile custodians of the Manifest Destiny." MEChA isn't at all shy about their goals, or their views of other races. Their founding principles are contained in these words in "El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan" (The Spiritual Plan for Aztlan):
"In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal gringo invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny. ... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. ... We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan. For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada." That closing two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal rights for all. It says: "For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing."
If these morally sickening MEChA quotes were coming from some fringe website, Americans could at least console themselves that it was just a small group of nuts behind it. Nearly every racial and ethnic group has some shady characters and positions in its past and some unbalanced individuals today claiming racial superiority and demanding separatism. But this is coming straight from the official MEChA sites at Georgetown University, the University of Texas, UCLA, University of Michigan, University of Colorado, University of Oregon, and many other colleges and universities around the country.
MEChA was in fact reported to be one of the main organizers of those street demonstrations we witnessed over the past weeks. That helps explain why those hordes of illegal immigrants weren't asking for amnesty—they were demanding an end to U.S. law, period. Unlike past waves of immigrants who sought to become responsible members of American society, these protesters reject American society altogether, because they have been taught that America rightfully belongs to them.
MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area known as "Aztlan"—a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before Europeans arrived in North America. As such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA. These are all areas America should surrender to "La Raza" once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles. The current borders of the United States will simply be extinguished.
This plan is what is referred to as the "Reconquista" or reconquest, of the Western U.S.
But it won't end with territorial occupation and secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of "Aztlan."
As Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter has been quoted as saying: "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled—opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power."
MEChA Plants
Members of these radical, anti-American, racist organizations are frequently smoothly polished into public respectability by the National Council of La Raza.
Former MEChA members include Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who was officially endorsed by La Raza for mayor and was awarded La Raza's Graciela Olivarez Award. Now we know why he refuses to condemn a sea of foreign flags in his city. California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is also a former MEChA member. He delivered the keynote address at La Raza's 2002 Annual Convention.
The National Council of La Raza and its allies in public office make no repudiation of the radical MEChA and its positions. In fact, as recently as 2003, La Raza was actively funding MEChA, according to federal tax records.
Imagine Robert Byrd's refusing to disavow the views of the KKK, or if Strom Thurmond had failed to admit segregation was wrong. Imagine Heritage or Brookings Foundation making grants to the American Nazi Party.
Is the National Council of La Raza itself a racist organization? Regardless of the organization's suspect ties, the majority of its members are not. When one examines all the organization's activities, they are commendable non-profit projects, such as education and housing programs.
But even these defensible efforts raise the question of whether education and housing programs funded with federal tax dollars should be used in programs specifically targeted to benefit just one ethnic group.
La Raza defenders usually respond by calling anyone making these allegations "a racist" for having called attention to La Raza's racist links. All the groups and public officials with ties to the La Raza movement can take a big step towards disproving these allegations by simply following the examples of Senators Byrd and Thurmond and repenting of their past ways.
If they are unwilling to admit past misdeeds, they can at least state unequivocally that they officially oppose the racist and anti-American positions of MEChA, and any other groups that espouse similar views.
Through public appearances, written statements, and on their respective websites, La Raza groups and allies must:
1. Denounce the motto "For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada," as repugnant, racist, and totally incompatible with American society or citizenship.
2. Acknowledge the right of all Americans to live wherever they choose in the U.S. without segregation.
3. Commit to sponsorship of nationwide educational programs to combat racism and anti-Semitism in the Hispanic community.
4. Denounce and sever all ties with MEChA and any other organizations with which they have ever been associated which held to the racist doctrines held by MEChA.
5. Acknowledge the internationally recognized borders of the U.S., the right of the citizens of the U.S. to determine immigration policy through the democratic process, and the right of the U.S. to undertake any and all necessary steps to effectively enforce immigration law and defend its border against unauthorized entry.
6. Repudiate all claims that current American territory rightfully belongs to Mexico.
If the National Council of La Raza, other La Raza groups, and local and national political leaders with past ties and associations with the radical elements of the La Raza movement can publicly issue such a statement and live by every one of these principles, they should be welcomed into the American public policy arena, with past sins—real or imaginary—forgiven.
If they cannot publicly and fully support these principles, Congress needs to take appropriate steps and immediately bar any group refusing to comply from receiving any future federal funds. Both the House and Senate should strike these groups from testifying before any committees, and the White House should sever all ties. Both political parties should disengage from any further contact with these groups and individuals.
There are plenty of decent, patriotic Hispanic organizations and elected officials to provide Congress with necessary feedback on specific issues confronting Americans of Latino heritage. Any group or individual who can agree with the simple six points should be welcomed into that fold.
If not, the American people will know there's a wolf in their midst, and take the necessary precautions to defend our Republic against an enemy.

For the more inquisitive among my readers, there are no shortage of webpages that can give even more disturbing background on the subgroups behind La Raza, if you can stomach the open calls for rape, pillage and murder of white people by the members of this "peaceful" invading army from south of the boarder. What is maddening for me is that in addition to the brazen support of Congress for this racist, hateful invading army, we have the open support of La Raza by corporate America—who have built their wealth on the backs of toiling American workers whose jobs, likely as not, have now been uprooted and transported down to Mexico by NAFTA.

Okay. You get the picture (I hope), but you're probably asking yourself what this has to do with religion? Why is such an article on the webpage of someone who has dedicated his efforts to exposing the lies and hypocrisy of the "holy bible?"
It has plenty to do with religion since (as usual) the greatest cheering section for this soon-to-be-armed invasion comes from none other than America's local clergy (and I don't just mean Jesse Jackson's tired ambulance-chasing publicity stunts)! Spouting their whining rhetoric about "human rights," America's clergypersons are demanding Christian compassion and other concession for this invading army that amounts to nothing short of capitulation. This demand shouldn't be surprising since America's Christian denominations have long been in the forefront of a new world order, and that new order has spent decades overseeing the dismantling of our nation's economic, cultural and military strength so that their evil agenda can be at last implemented.
To demonstrate my point, take a look at this article from something called the People's Weekly World Newspaper, 03/30/06:
DALLAS—Church leaders in North Texas participated in a press conference on March 23 at the Guadalupe Cathedral here. They spoke in favor of reasonable immigration reform legislation, and strongly against the "enforcement-only" proposal of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.
Lutheran Bishop Kevin Kanouse of the Northern Texas/Northern Louisiana Synod warned against bills that would make it a felony crime to be an undocumented worker or to assist one. "It is time for us to be willing to lay ourselves on the line, even if it means jail and prison time."
Kanouse then began listing ways that conscientious church people might help undocumented workers, such as providing food for the hungry or shelter for the homeless. The sentiment expressed was, "If our Legislature creates laws to arrest us for giving a drink to immigrants among us, then let us be arrested."
Catholic Bishop Charles Grahmann began with the Book of Leviticus, quoting a number of biblical passages commanding all believers to welcome foreigners and to treat them fairly. He concluded by listing the qualities of immigrant legislation that would constitute fairness, including protecting workplace rights, reuniting families and providing a path to citizenship.
Gene Lantz of North Texas Jobs with Justice said the anti-immigrant proposals would lower wages for all Americans. He said, "If it lowers wages, we're against it!" Supporters from Unite Here, which has organized hundreds of immigrants into union locals, also talked to reporters and introduced themselves to religious leaders.
The conference was organized by Dallas Area Interfaith, the region's largest and most comprehensive umbrella group of religious organizations. Spokesperson David Ramirez said, "We will continue to press forward" for "policies that will safeguard the rights and inherent dignity of all migrants, particularly the undocumented, including their rights as workers."
Isn't it enough that these "holy" bastards go into the blighted neighborhoods of our nation, seek out so-called "undocumented" workers, and feed, clothe and house them without asking us to open our doors and wallets to support their treasonist work? In fact, if I had the space here, I could fill a dozen pages with statistics showing what Mexican criminals have cost our country in money and most especially in human suffering. The misery of rapes, tortures, robberies and abuse and the cost of "policing" and imprisoning the whole damned mess is staggering and sickening.
Well, I for one think it's time all good Christians apply the New Testament principle where Jesus told us how to treat the poor. It comes from the example when Judas complained about wasting some spiced perfume to anoint Jesus' head, and exclaimed that it could have been sold and the money given to the poor. An angry Jesus told him to his face: "Screw the poor! You'll have that herd of bastards with you always, but I am here for a short time. So, shut up because I'm going to enjoy my time on this earth and eat, drink and be merry!" (Matthew 26; Mark 14; John 12; the Darrell W. Conder Translation of the New Testament.)
Right on Jesus! To hell with the poor of the world. It's time all Americans started taking care of number one and enjoy the good life our ancestors carved out of this land by slamming the door hard in the face of any and all who dare invade us!
I know it's getting nigh on to Easter, and, as it's one of those "biggies" in the Christian calendar, I should be writing something "comforting" to all those in the "he is risen" crowd. But in a few days I'm on my way to Washington, D.C. and time is rather short. So, let me just simply ask anyone out there who has a brain that functions outside a t.v. set, if you had not been brought up believing that a dead god on a stick actually rose from a tomb of rock and went to heaven (where he's been loitering about through twenty centuries of human bloodletting), would you believe some sanctimonious pirate who came knocking on your door preaching such nonsense?
Sure you would! I know that's an insulting observation, but you Christians have demonstrated a remarkable amount of pure stupidity for the past twenty centuries by swallowing tales of talking serpents, jack asses, impregnating ghosts, walking zombies, commands of eating human flesh and drinking human blood, and just about any other disgusting, asinine thing imaginable—including slaughtering "offending" men, women and suckling babes by the nation load for "the love of God"; so why in hell should I think that you are smart enough to ever start thinking for yourselves?
God almighty! Is it any wonder that you Christians enthusiastically embrace the dribble of the most barefaced liars imaginable in places like the White House, Parliament, network television "news," religious broadcasts, or even those who come knocking on your door selling you a timeshare in the Land of Oz?
Am I safe to assume that you dearly-beloved don't believe any of the other tales about crucified, resurrected (so-called pagan) savior gods ascending to heaven in the centuries before Jesus? If so, then why do you believe in this dead-Jesus-resurrection thing? I'll tell you why: It is either because your mother and father taught you to believe, or because everyone else believes, or because you're just plain stupid! Now listen: Provided you are not in the latter class, and provided you really give a damn, I can give you a hundred and one documented reasons why Easter is all a truck load—nay, make that a ship load—of pure crap. (I once wrote a book on the subject.)
Hey: If you don't believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, flying reindeer, or Mickey Mouse, then with a few facts in hand, I'll bet that even you Christians are smart enough to figure out that you've been royally screwed about this dead-god-on-a-stick thing. And I'll let you in on a secret: the benefits of that knowledge are tremendous.
Unlike Santa or the Easter Bunny, which can be harmless fun in and of themselves; the concept of your resurrected god waiting up there in heaven is deadly serious "business." In his name an ocean of innocent blood has been spilled, and before the powers-that-be are finished, that innocent blood will fill the seven seas. That is what is at stake, and that is the reason that my patience is running quite thin.
I don't write these things because I'm hypocritical enough to proclaim that I do it out of "love" for my fellow man, as you Christians are wont to do; I write because I'm stuck on this planet with you and if I can't change your minds, then I know you will kill me and mine along with the rest of humanity with your poisonous religion! So pardon the blunt, in-your-face observations about the "resurrection" of your make-believe god before I head off into the sunrise (so-to-speak).
Enough said.
Around the world he is preached as the great savior of mankind. Billions have lived and died believing his message of salvation. But is that really what your bible teaches about Jesus Christ? Come with me as I take you through some simple scriptures to unveil some little known truths about a man called Jesus.
To begin, let me ask you a very simple question: Do you believe that your bible is the infallible word of God? If you say "no", then there is no reason to proceed with this study. If your answer is "yes", then you agree that your bible is perfect as 2 Timothy 3:16 and Mark 12:24 tell us!
With that settled, open your bible to John 1:1-3,10,14, Geneses 1:1,26 and Hebrews 1:10, and you shall find that Jesus Christ is also the God of the Old Testament, or as the King James translators called him, Jehovah—and he never changes! Jehovah/Jesus is always the same, forever! (Malachi 3:6: "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.")
Now, this God who never changes, who is Jesus in the New Testament, tells us to obey his ever word, (Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4) and commands us not to add to or take away from his word! (Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 12:32 and Revelation 22:18-19). His word is established to last FOREVER! (Psalm 119:89,160 and 1 Peter 1:23-25) If you are a Christian and put your faith in Jesus, then you fulfill his words in John 10:27: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me!" (Also see Luke 9:23, Matthew 16:24, Ephesians 5:1) In your quest to follow the words and commands of Christ, you have the promise of the Holy Spirit to guide you: in other words, the Holy Spirit will help you find the TRUTH! (John 14:26, and John 16:13: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
There is one more ingredient to your understanding the word of God, which is given as a command by God himself: You are to PROVE ALL THINGS AND HOLD FAST THAT WHICH IS GOOD! (1 Thessalonians 5:21) We are to do what the people of ancient Berea did when they were confronted with the preaching of Paul. We are to prove all things using our bibles. (Acts 17:10: "And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.")
Let us also keep another thing in mind, which is that those who claim to follow the word of God should be in harmony with all other Christians—there should be no divisions, as 1 Corinthians 1:10 teaches: "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
How clear! Those who profess Christ as their savior should be of the same mind and they should have no divisions with other Christians. This means that there should be only ONE CHURCH on earth that is truly the church of God! Any church outside that one true church would be a false church—that is the teaching of your bible! .
The bible teaches that no prophecy of the scriptures is any private interpretation(2 Peter 1:20), that Christians are to allow the scriptures to interpret its own words. It also teaches that faith of its self is a dead faith, and that works are required, meaning the keeping of the commandments, as Jesus told the young man! (See James 2:17).
The people of Berea obeyed scriptures and showed their faith by their works, as James 2:14-26 teaches: "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?"Jesus backs this up as well, when he gave a warning about having blind faith, or faith without works: Luke 6:39: "And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?"
In John 6:63 Jesus teaches that the word of God is LIFE: "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." What words of eternal life was Jesus speaking of in that foregoing verse? The bible answers this question in John 12:50: "And I know that his commandment is life everlasting."
In Matthew 19:17-19 we find the story of a young man who comes to Jesus and asked what thing must he do to gain eternal life. Jesus confirms that keeping the "ten commandments" will give eternal life: "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (This is referring to the Ten Commandments, as noted in Exodus 20:1-17 and Revelation 22:14.)
In John 4:21-22 Jesus elaborates on the importance of the commandments when he said that salvation is of the Jews: "Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews." But why would salvation come from the Jews? Romans 3:1-2 answers this: "What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God." The "oracles of God" included the Ten Commandments!
So, according to Jesus, Christians can obtain eternal life by keeping the Ten Commandments! Indeed, as proof of this we have the example of John the Baptist's parents who kept the laws and were PERFECT! (Luke 1:5: "There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.")
Zacharias and his wife Elisabeth kept ALL of the commandments of God, which included the Ten Commandments, which Jesus said would give eternal life, and were BLAMELESS! (Matthew 19:17-19 and Romans 3:31, 7:12) In other words, John the Baptist's parents had obtained eternal life without the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross! Again, such a revelation means that you too may obtain eternal life if you obey the Ten Commandments—no blood of Jesus required!
Okay, at this point those who know a bit about their bibles will be protesting that yes, but "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"! They will argue that for this reason Jesus came into the world to die for our sins and that without his sacrifice—as a lamb to the slaughter—we are all doomed! If that is the case, then the bible is dishonest when it tells the story of Zacharias and Elisabeth, and a host of other Old Testament personalities who made it to heaven without the help of Jesus' blood. Indeed, if we need the blood of Jesus, then it not only makes Jesus into a liar when he told the young man that he could obtain eternal life by keeping the commandments, but it also nullifies a lot of Old Testament scripture, which (remember) is proclaimed by the bible as inspired by God himself!
The fact is that the Old Testament, which was all that the first century Jews had for a "holy scripture," (the book the Bereans searched daily for truth) teaches that one can be forgiven of sins without a blood sacrifice, and that one can obtain eternal life by obeying God, which actually backs up Jesus' statement to the young man seeking the key to eternal life.
Let's start by noticing something virtually unknown in Christianity—that God forbids the tasting of blood: Genesis 9:4: "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." Leviticus 17:14: "For it [blood] is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off." Deuteronomy 12:16: "Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water." Deuteronomy 12:23: "Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh."
Okay. We have a VERY CLEAR COMMAND here from God himself NOT TO TASTE BLOOD, which has to make one wonder about him changing his mind and commanding his followers to taste his blood as a Passover sacrifice! But this aside, was blood necessary for the forgiveness of sins? Notice this answer from God's word: Psalm 51:16: "For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." Psalm 40:6: "Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required." Proverbs 15:8: "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight." 9: "The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. Psalm 119:172: "My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness."
That last verse is speaking of the Ten Commandments! There was no need for any sacrifices for the forgiveness of sin in the Old Testament. The sacrifice was merely a token of repentance, after which one WAS FORGIVEN of their sins!
Now we can see why John the Baptist's parents were righteous in God's eyes; we can see why King David was promised eternal life, even though he didn't have the "sacrifice of Jesus" under his belt. We can see why other great men of the Old Testament were taken to heaven after their deaths, Enoch, Moses and Elijah being examples. There was no need for them to eat the flesh of Jesus, nor drink his blood in order to obtain their reward—just keep the commandments and seeking forgiveness of their sins did the trick. And, Jesus backs this up when he told the young man that all he needed to obtain eternal life was to keep the commandments!
Of course, Jesus—as is the habit of preachers the world over—didn't miss the opportunity to bring money into the formula for eternal life when he told the young man to sell all he had and give to the poor. By that last remark Jesus totally contradicts what he had just told the young man. If one could have eternal life by keeping the commandments, and the young man had done that since his youth, then that should have been an end to the matter. One couldn't become more perfect than obtaining the reward of eternal life! On top of this, by telling the young man to give all his possessions away, then what about God's promises of blessing his faithful servants with material goods? The Old Testament is loaded with scriptures about the righteous men and women of God receiving material blessings, and yet here was Jesus contradicting himself by tell the kid to give away all he had to the poor, which likely would have meant giving it to Judas Iscariot, Jesus' treasurer.
We have seen that the Old Testament promises eternal life for those who keep the commandments of God. We saw that Jesus Christ, who is the God of the Old Testament, backs this promise up when he deals with the young man seeking eternal life. However, Jesus Christ, who supposedly never changes—is the same yesterday, today and forever—seems to forget his formula for eternal life with this pronouncement in John 6:47: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.48 I am that bread of life.49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever."
Not only does Jesus repudiate his own words to the young man, he totally contradicts the commands of the Old Testament about tasting blood! In fact, if God abhors the tasting of animal blood, how much more would he have abhorred the consuming of human blood, not to mention eating human flesh, or cannibalism? Jesus' words are not only blasphemous, as they are essentially slapping God in the face, he condemns all those Old Testament personalities (who had previously obtained eternal life from God) to the fires of hell! He also condemns the parents of John the Baptist, who never was able to taste his blood nor eat his flesh. This is quite a revelation here folks, and one that proves that SOMEONE IS LYING SOMEWHERE—BIG TIME—which leaves us with an all-important question: Into what do you place YOUR FAITH? Is it in the promises of the Old Testament? Or is it in the words of Jesus, who not only contradicts himself in the New Testament, but contradicts himself when he was the Jehovah of the Old Testament?
The plain truth here ladies and gentlemen is that the contradictions presented from the pages of your bible are just the tip of the iceberg. From the very beginning of Genesis to the last chapter of Revelation the "holy bible" is a mass of contradictions and frauds, which is not surprising since it can be thoroughly proven as a collection of man-made myths, distorted histories and plagiarisms designed to enslave and rule over the minds of superstitious men and women. As history amply proves, the bible and its promoters are still doing their bloody work with tremendous success!
Have you been keeping up with the row in Denmark over a cartoon of Mohammed published in a Danish newspaper, which Islamics have found "offensive?" Since the publication there have been calls for terrorist strikes on Danish targets from militant Arabs, and currently there is an Arab boycott of Danish goods underway. Blah, blah, blah. What I, Darrell Conder, find OFFENSIVE is watching the representatives of Western governments falling down on their backs and peeing their pants in the face of Islam's "hurt feelings!"
Just once I wish I could be a head of state when one of these rows erupted somewhere in the world. Just once I'd love to tell the "offended" party to shut the hell up and get a life! I mean, here these Moslems are yammering about their beloved prophet being insulted, threatening to kill Westerners, while our governments slobber all over themselves apologizing; and not once is anyone speaking the obvious. Nary a hint that the whole damned Islamic religion is but a brazen lie concocted by some wild-eyed desert prophet to lead hopeless masses who seem to be ever-ready to follow and die for anything that moves!
Maybe you have yet to hear or read about the teenage girl in Iran who is scheduled to be hanged for defending herself against a gang of rapists over in Iran. In case you haven't, here's an excerpt from the story:
Jan. 8, 2006: An Iranian court has sentenced a teenage rape victim to death by hanging after she weepingly confessed that she had unintentionally killed a man who had tried to rape both her and her niece.
The state-run daily Etemaad reported on Saturday that 18-year-old Nazanin confessed to stabbing one of three men who had attacked the pair along with their boyfriends while they were spending some time in a park west of the Iranian capital in March 2005.
She described how the three men pushed her and her 16-year-old niece Somayeh onto the ground and tried to rape them, and said that she took out a knife from her pocket and stabbed one of the men in the hand.
As the girls tried to escape, the men once again attacked them, and at this point, Nazanin said, she stabbed one of the men in the chest. The teenage girl, however, broke down in tears in court as she explained that she had no intention of killing the man but was merely defending herself and her younger niece from rape, the report said. The court, however, issued on Tuesday a sentence for Nazanin to be hanged to death.
Last week, a court in the city of Rasht, northern Iran, sentenced Delara Darabi to death by hanging charged with murder when she was 17 years old. Darabi has denied the charges.
In August 2004, Iran's Islamic penal system sentenced a 16-year-old girl, Atefeh Rajabi, to death after a sham trial, in which she was accused of committing "acts incompatible with chastity". The teenage victim had no access to a lawyer at any stage and efforts by her family to retain one were to no avail. She was eventually hanged in public in the northern town of Neka.
When they hang this poor girl, who remember has spent all her short life in an oppressive religious hell, it will be from a crane in some public square. When the signal is given, she will be hoisted up by her neck to slowly strangle to death—some of these "executions" taking as long as fifteen minutes to complete.
Okay. Here's is the horrid reality of the religion that millions of yammering Arabs are defending in the streets of Europe and elsewhere because a "cartoon" of their "holy" prophet "offended" them! Islam is one of the world's most bloody, oppressive religions, and instead of standing up to the insanity, our gutless leaders are outdoing each other apologizing!
As I've written before, I am sick to death of the good Lord Jesus and his damned book of holy horrors. And (as if we don't have enough abuse with Christianity on our hands) I am sick to death of our Western nations allowing alien religious fanatics to invade our societies and then hold us hostage to their damned alien religions. I say stick their goddamned holy book up their collective asses and send them all back to their desert sand dunes where they can slice each other to ribbons for the love of their prophet. Are you listening, George Bush, Tony Blair and whoever the hell is running Denmark?
To hell with religion, prophets and holy writs. To all the popes, dali lamas, mullahs, rabbis, priests, ministers, prophets and snake charmers, I say why don't you take up crocheting or some other useful trade and just leave the earth in peace for a change?
For years I have been trying to enlighten people about the direct and indirect destructiveness of religious dogma. Not only do the believers suffer from guilt and other abuse, all too often the unbeliever suffers from being associated with those who believe.
Almost thirty years ago I was traveling in Northern Ireland at a time when Protestant Christians were still killing Catholic Christians, and vice versa. I asked a Protestant man why he hated someone who, for all practical purposes, could have been a member of his own family? Although he rattled off quite an explanation, all it came to was what the "Catholic Church" had severally persecuted Protestants and they had to respond in kind. That's the key! He was telling me that Irish Catholics and Irish Protestants hated one another because of the teachings and actions of their churches! The letter that I reproduce here from Judy Andreas is another example of that mentality.
When reading Judy's letter, it reminded me of the old saying that "guns don't kill people, people kill people!" Catholics don't kill people, the Catholic "faith" kills people. Jews don't kill Palestinians, Zionism kills Palestinians! Palestinians don't kill Jews, the Islamic "faith" kills Jews! It never seems to end!
Please read Judy's letter this month and please try to remember that we are all on this planet together; if we don't overcome the evil of religious intolerance, then it will one day be too late!
Though I no longer identify with the Jewish Religion, there are many who still consider me Jewish. More importantly, however, I have friends and family who are Jewish. These people are righteous people. They are not sitting around planning the takeover of the world, nor are they supporters of apartheid Israel. None of them has been invited to tea at the Rothschilds. Most of them are clueless about the racist Talmud, as I was at one time.
It always saddens me when I see people who clump Jews and Zionists together I realize that there are those who honestly do not recognize the difference, however, there are others who are motivated by a deep hatred for Jewish people.
The other day, I was listening to a show on Internet radio. The guest was an ardent anti-Zionist. I agreed with much of what she said. However, when a Jewish woman called in, the guest implied that the caller was being duped. She implied that all the higher ups in the Jewish religion are card carrying Jewish Supremacists who are racist Talmud thumpers. The caller was appalled. She talked about how loving the Rabbi at her Temple was. She talked about her anti—Israel feelings. She talked about how the guest's diatribe was merely creating a backlash. My heart went out to the caller and I knew that I had to write something. I only hoped I could be equal to the task. Words are a sadly imperfect vehicle upon which to carry such a sensitive message.
I have always striven to be fair. I have been outspoken regarding my feelings about apartheid Israel and its sins against the Palestinians. I have pointed a finger at Mossad involvement in 911. I have written about the death of Freedom of Speech and the travesty of what is being done to people like Ernst Zundel and others who have merely dared to question. And, as a result of my writings, I have been targeted by Zionists who have called me names and made my life extremely uncomfortable. And yet, while I have attempted to be fair, I have also cringed at those who insist on painting all Jewish people with a broad brush.
I have read essays in which the writer has combed the depths of obscure Jewish sects to find practices that the average Jew finds repulsive and grotesque. I have read essays which refer to Jewish people as soulless. The result is that people, who do not know any Jews, imagine that we sit around drinking blood and nibbling on sacrificed babies. It's astounding that there are those who believe that "all Jews have horns". The result has been an ever widening, ever more hateful divide. It pits Jews against Gentiles and, at the end of the day, plays right into the hands of the people who are looking to enslave us. Their divide and conquer strategy is alive and well and living amongst us.

When I began my incarnation as an Internet essayist, I knew nothing about The Talmud. I thought it was merely a book of laws. I soon learned that it was a book filled with hate against non-Jews. I was thoroughly confused. After all, my father, who was one of the kindest, gentlest men I'd known, had studied the Talmud. I had never heard the "g" word mentioned in my home. And when my sister and I married out of the religion, nothing hateful was said and the grooms were welcomed into the family. My father's philosophy was that we are all children of God. And yet, people I knew on the Internet were quoting abhorrent lines from the Talmud. I began my search for the truth among people I knew.
I spoke with a Protestant man who had, at one point, begun a conversion to Judaism. I asked him if he had read the Talmud. He said that he had to study it. I asked him if there was anything racist in it and he replied that there was not.
An Orthodox Jewish Doctor became my next interviewee. I asked her about the Babylonian Talmud and the comment that "it is preferable to lie down with animals than to lie down with non-Jews". She said that she had never heard of such a thing. "Why would Abraham have been commanded to lie down with Hagar?"
A non Jewish friend sent me a DVD she had made of an interview with a man who belongs to a group called True Torah Jews. This gentlemen, quoting the Talmud, remarked that it was a sin to steal from Jews and non Jews alike.
My confusion grew. I consulted with the always knowledgeable, ever present google. "Is the Talmud racist?" I asked. A plethora of articles leapt onto my screen.
Michael Hoffman is often quoted for his writing about the racism in the Babylonian Talmud and the guest on the talk show had referred to him as well. Here are a few of the many examples that Mr. Hoffman gives from the Babylonian Talmud.
Hitting a Jew is the same as hitting God -Sanhedrin 58b. If a heathen (gentile) hits a Jew, the gentile must be killed.
O.K. to Cheat Non-Jews—Sanhedrin 57a . A Jew need not pay a gentile ("Cuthean") the wages owed him for work.
Jews Have Superior Legal Status—Baba Kamma 37b. "If an ox of an Israelite gores an ox of a Canaanite there is no liability; but if an ox of a Canaanite gores an ox of an Israelite...the payment is to be in full."
Jews May Steal from Non-Jews—Baba Mezia 24a . If a Jew finds an object lost by a gentile ("heathen") it does not have to be returned. (Affirmed also in Baba Kamma 113b). Sanhedrin 76a. God will not spare a Jew who "marries his daughter to an old man or takes a wife for his infant son or returns a lost article to a Cuthean..."

Also in footnote #2 to Shabbath 104b of the Soncino edition, it is stated that in the "uncensored" text of the Talmud it is written that Jesus mother, "Miriam the hairdresser," had sex with many men. I can well understand how anyone who has read the list of racist quotations and believes that all Jewish people think this way, would be furious and disgusted. And yet, is there more to the story? I needed to know.
I came upon an article entitled:

Now I have not studied the Talmud or anything of that sort but was surprised at what I saw. Proclamations such as: Some Teachings of the Jewish Talmud Erubin 21b. How does a Jew defend themselves when asked a questions of this nature? Where are they getting these writings? What does it all mean?"
A: I quickly checked most of the statements listed below with the actual statements and context of the Talmud, and for the most part they are either inaccurate or not representative of Jewish law. The problem stems from a misunderstanding, or a perversion, of the literature of the Talmud. The Talmud is a collection of discussions on various topics of Jewish law, but not all of the material in every discussion:
1) represents the majority view;
2) applies today;
3) was meant to be taken seriously.
The statement that "whosoever disobeys the rabbis deserves death and will be punished by being boiled in hot excrement in hell [Erubin 21b]" is not even found in the Talmud. The correct statement is "whosoever transgresses the words of the Scribes is liable for the death penalty."
First, not every statement of the Rabbis falls in the category under discussion; and second, this is a typical example of exaggerated language—there was no death penalty for violating a non-Torah law, but the Sages wanted to emphasize the importance of obeying the metaphorical fences they constructed around serious Torah prohibitions, in order to prevent people from accidentally violating the Torah law.. In a note in the Soncino translation of the Talmud, Sanhedrin 57A, the editor notes that "not a few of these harsh utterances were the natural result of Jewish persecution by the Romans, and must be understood in that light. In actual practice, these dicta were certainly never acted upon, and it is significant that a commission of Roman officers, after investigating Jewish law in its relation to Gentiles, took exception to only two laws, one relating to the damage done by a goring ox, and the other permitting a Jew the use of property stolen from a Gentile. Rabbi Gamliel repealed this latter law." . The word nidah does not mean filth. It means separated, and in the context of Avodah Zarah 36b means that it is forbidden for Jews to marry non-Jews.

Although the second article gave me insights, it did not thoroughly negate the possibility that the Talmud was indeed a racist document. And yet, I suspect that the Jews who still mouth those beliefs are in the minority. I would venture to guess that most Jewish people are not privy to that version of the Talmud. I would venture to guess that the quotes may belong to an era which no longer exists and has little to do with today's civilization. To measure all Jews with a supremacist yardstick is akin to saying that all Christians chant in front of a 40 foot owl or all Catholics are pedophiles and cannibals. A wonderful man recently said to me "Judy, you have restored my faith in Jewish people. Before I met you, I thought that all Jews were winking and nodding and planning to take over the world" His words aroused both a sense of gratitude as well as a sense of sadness within me. I realized how easily people have stereotyped ALL Jews because of the sins of SOME Jews. Perhaps I am unique or maybe I am not. I know that there are many who are far more outspoken than I. I suspect that there are others who are just too frightened to come forward. Organizations such as the ADL can make life a living hell. Perhaps there are Jews who retreat into fear and paranoia when they read the endless accusations and gross distortions. Perhaps there are others who strike back while pictures of the popularized version of the Nazi Holocaust play on the movie screens of their minds.
Too many people have been effectively silenced. And yet, it doesn't have to be this way. Not long ago, a man on the Internet made a statement that there are no poor Jews. Having been a poor Jew for many years while I raised three children, I was aghast at his remark. Having interfaced with many poor Jews, I could only shake my head in amazement. Having had friends whose husbands had abandoned them when their children were small and they had been forced to work themselves out of the hell of welfare, I could hardly believe that this gentleman was serious. And yet, when you deal in stereotypes and hate rhetoric, you begin to believe the lies. You become a perfect pawn for the New World Order. There is a great divide and it is growing wider with each passing day. We have reached crisis proportions. Divided we will certainly fall. It is imperative that we look beyond the labels and the stereotypes. Jews and Gentiles alike are being manipulated by diabolically clever strategists. Perhaps a disproportionate amount are Jewish, I haven't counted. I only know that we must find a way to communicate with one another. I only know that our bigotry and endless finger pointing are perfect fodder for the "divide and conquer" strategy of our manipulators.
